Public indoor pool with an Olympic-size option, plus vending machines and a patio.
Specific, regularly published pool temperatures for the James Gay III Municipal Pool are not readily available to the public. As an outdoor, seasonal facility, the water temperature is primarily influenced by ambient weather conditions, though some public pools may have minimal heating to maintain comfort or extend their operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The municipal pool receives predominantly positive feedback, often described as a 'hidden gem' for families. Reviewers frequently praise its cleanliness, affordable pricing (around $2 for non-residents), and welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff is largely commended for being organized, professional, friendly, and attentive, particularly during swim classes. However, one review found the staff overly strict regarding pool rules for inflatable days, especially concerning mandatory swim tests for children wearing life jackets, leading to disappointment. Parking is noted to be available, though it can fill up during busy times, with overflow options mentioned. Additional amenities nearby include a basketball court and a day center, which doubles as an emergency cooling station. Many also share nostalgic positive memories of the pool from their childhood.

Plenty of parking. Staff is very strict in the pool area. 1 and done visit for us. The inflatable pool day is only for swimmers who pass a swim test. What a BIG TEASE for the little kids who wear a life jacket.
A Hidden Gem for Families! We absolutely love the municipal pool on Bonanza! We bring our son here for swim classes, and every time we're blown away by how organized, professional, and friendly the staff is. Seriously, the team here is amazing — they're kind, relaxed, attentive, and so great with the kids. You can tell they really care. The pool is always clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the entire experience is super family-friendly. It’s also very affordable, which is a huge plus! Pro tip: get there a little early — parking can fill up, especially during swim meets or special events. But no worries! The staff will kindly let you know that there’s extra parking down the street under the bridge. Honestly, I almost don’t want to post this because this place is such a hidden gem — part of me hopes it stays that way! But if you’re lucky enough to come across this review, do yourself a favor and check it out. You’ll be glad you did. We sure are!
Ok I've have not used the pool, yet. But if you don't live there ( passing through) I believe it's $2.00 to swim all day. On the left of that is a full court basketball area, ( on major days it's an emergency cooling station. To the left of that is a Las Vegas day center. Stay cool & hydrated 🥤
My New years resolution is to visit all the places that made me into the STRONG MAN I AM TODAY 💯💯💯 I spent a lot of time at this city pool as a child. While attending C.P. Squires elementary school, I would walk to this pool every day to play. I didn't realize that my playing was actually building and strengthening my body and ability to swim. THANK YOU CITY POOL FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE FOR A KID🥰💯🥰💯🥰💯🥰
