What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Laguna Niguel Aquatic Center are mixed. Many praise the facility's cleanliness, including the water, locker rooms, and bathrooms, as well as the friendly staff, ample lifeguards, and convenient location with easy parking and diving boards. However, significant negative feedback includes a major complaint regarding the aquatic center's decision to prematurely expire flex passes with less than 30 days' notice, causing customers to lose prepaid sessions and money, described by one reviewer as 'theft.' Other concerns include difficulty securing spots through the online lane reservation system for lap swim, with a request for more drop-in lanes, and an issue with a specific swimmer repeatedly occupying private lanes without paying, which was not addressed by a lifeguard.

Me and my boyfriend purchased flex passes earlier this year, which said that they would NOT EXPIRE until 5 years from the date of purchase. A few months later, the Laguna Niguel Aquatic Center sends out an email on June 6th, 2025 which states that ALL flex passes will expire (and remaining swim credits will NOT carry over) on June 30th, 2025 because they are switching to a new reservation/payment system called Amilia. Less than 30 days notice to people that you're going to do this, and you expect everyone to be able to use up their flex passes swims? Ridiculous. We had roughly 15 swim sessions remaining each on TWO flex passes that stated they would not expire until 2030 upon purchase. What the hell happens to our money then?? LNAC just gets to keep our money for free? See attached photos for proof. THIS KIND OF PRACTICE SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. IT IS THEFT.
Great clean water. Clean well kept lockers. Every one is friendly.
Clean, lots of lifeguards, rules are enforced, and the bathroom is big and clean. Easy parking. Convenient location. They have 3 diving boards and some of the kids do Olympic style diving which is fun to watch. Sign up online for lane reservations.
Very nice facility. I swim here weekly. I want to write about one weasel swimmer. He must be a shared lane user, and always moves to an empty private lane. I'm a private lane swimmer and pay extra for private lane use. When I arrived my lane, he was swimming in my lane. This happened 3 times in one month. One time, I told him that was my lane. He said that Front desk must have assigned him a wrong lane. Other times, he didn't say anything and moved to another empty private lane. Then somebody showed up there and he moved to another private lane again. Private lane swimmers pay extra. Other shared lane users stay in their lanes and behave well. I reported this to a lifeguard one time, but he didn't care. I think his weasel behaviors shouldn't be allowed. It is not fair to other swimmers.
The pool itself is great! The facilities like the locker room are brand new and are kept very clean and nice. The only downside is the lane reservation system for lap swim is difficult to get a spot, so I tend to drop-in without a reservation. There are only 2-3 lanes open without a reservation, and it would definitely be better if there were more drop-in lanes.
