What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this gym are predominantly negative, with strong criticisms directed at its management and overall environment. Key complaints include instances of dismissive, unprofessional, and condescending behavior from management (specifically naming the President, Michael McMahon), particularly in response to serious incidents involving harassment and stalking of female members, which were reportedly downplayed or unaddressed. Management is also accused of mishandling membership cancellations and refunds, providing misleading information, and inappropriately using members' attendance data to dispute negative reviews. The gym's atmosphere is frequently described as uncomfortable and unsafe for women due to 'creeps' and 'old folks staring at young women,' with specific mentions of off-putting locker room experiences. Facility-wise, many amenities like steam rooms, hot tubs, and tanning beds are consistently reported as outdated or out of order. While some positive notes mention low crowds, well-maintained equipment (despite overall outdated facilities), and a good variety of options like pools, hot tubs, and a smoothie bar, these are heavily overshadowed by severe concerns regarding safety, accountability, and customer service.

AVOID THIS GYM. After reporting two serious incidents involving my wife and our daughter, the management's response—particularly from Michael McMahon, Pinnacle’s President—was dismissive, unprofessional, and at times condescending. Michael suggested our daughter cancel her membership, effectively placing the burden on us rather than addressing the behavior. He did speak with one of the men involved—someone who had already been reported by women on two prior occasions—yet that member remains at the gym. In a separate incident, a different male member appeared to follow our daughter from the hot tub to the pool and then into the sauna, alone after 9 PM. Despite the seriousness of this, Michael chose not to speak with that member, calling the behavior “normal.” He also insisted on a one-on-one phone call with our daughter, during which he challenged her account like a prosecuting attorney. Our daughter, who is otherwise confident and well-adjusted, felt significantly worse after that call. The situation deteriorated further when we cancelled our family membership and requested a refund. We were told a check was mailed June 9, but it didn't arrive. Over nearly 3 weeks, multiple follow-ups were met with shifting explanations, contradictions, and even patronizing remarks (see images). Only after escalating to multiple staff members did Michael agree to leave a replacement check at the front desk—conveniently timed to align exactly with their rigid 21-day refund policy. The original check which was mailed June 9th ended up arriving July 14th - we live 10 minutes away from Pinnacle. The behavior of the two male members was troubling enough, but it was Michael’s mishandling of the situation that ultimately led us to cancel our membership. If you value respectful treatment, accountability, and a safe environment, AVOID THIS GYM.
Awful management, mislead on how much group membership prices were, mislead on how to add someone to a group family plan, I canceled my membership out of such disappointment and dissatisfaction. Then a month later I get charged again bc they couldn’t even cancel the membership correctly. I don’t have the energy to dive into every problem I’ve had with this place. This gym is not worth the trouble. I’ve done some reading on the poor reviews of this place and they’re all correct and I’ve seen that the owner will reply to negative posts by posting the amount of times a client has gone to the gym to dispute their negative review? That’s vastly inappropriate well as personal information and if the representative of the gym cares to reply (and if not seeking that, not worth my time anymore) but the gym does not have my consent to post how much I attended the gym as an argument against my truthful negative review. That’s personal information. Again, this gyms management is as poor as it comes, the constant miscommunication is draining and unprofessional; this is my first and only Google review bc I have been so moved by my anger and frustration with this place. I hope to save a few of you from the stress and time. Get a pass to anytime fitness, and don’t bother looking into this place.
Good gym to workout at if you are a grown man. lots of old folks staring at young women and uncomfortable atmosphere. Never truly felt comfortable going with my sister or mom because they would get stared at by creeps. If you are looking too have off putting conversations with nude grown men in the locker room, look no further.
The training staff is pretty rude towards me. Otherwise, the low crowds and equipment upkeep is nice. Could use new TVs above the cardio, I'm not sure why the TVs are so old. Toxic/rude lunky training staff here. Odd gym.
You get what you pay for. However, the management style to create a nice place to exercise failed to offer pleasant experience. The place is outdated. Many times and often amenities are out of order: steam room, hot tubs, drinking fountains, tanning bed (for over a year now), bathrooms are half functions and list goes on. You can’t blame all of that on short supplies. Supplies are plenty and available. The options can be appreciate though despite bad management: outdoor seasonal swim pool, indoor full size swimming pool and warm pool, hot tub, sauna and swarm room, showers, lockers. Smoothies, protein bars are offered and quite tasty.
