The Chaska Community Center, located at 1661 Park Ridge Dr, Chaska, MN, is a comprehensive recreational facility offering a wide array of amenities. It typically includes an aquatic center with multiple pools, a fitness center with weights and cardio equipment, an ice arena, gymnasiums, an indoor walking track, child care services, and various programming for all ages. It serves as a hub for health, wellness, and community engagement.
The aquatic center at the Chaska Community Center generally maintains the lap pool at approximately 80-81°F (26.7-27.2°C), the leisure pool at around 86-87°F (30-30.6°C), and the whirlpool/hot tub at approximately 103°F (39.4°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This community center offers a range of facilities including pools (with a warm, shallow kids' play area and dedicated Tot Time on Sunday mornings), ice rinks for skating and hockey, good-sized exercise areas (including a recently revamped weight room), and a climbing wall for children. The facility is generally clean, and amenities have been updated. However, the center can get very busy, especially during open gym or popular sessions like Tot Time. A recurring concern is the behavior of high schoolers and teenagers, who are often described as loud, rude, hogging equipment, failing to re-rack weights, using foul language, and disrupting younger children. Open gym times can also be unexpectedly overrun by large groups or camps, making them unusable, and one user reported a negative experience with rude staff regarding a refund. Additionally, family bathrooms are noted to lack changing rooms, offering only showers with benches. Visitors are advised to arrive early for popular sessions and bring their own locker locks.

Good for kids, chilling free time. learning ice skating and hockey
Ive been coming here for over 30 years. They recently revamped their weight room, lighting and amenities are updated as well. Usually pretty clean when I go. However it can get busy and the high schoolers take over certain times a day and are loud, rude, dont re-rack their weights, take forever on equipment while just talking to friends.
Great play area for kids with 3 ft depth all around and warm water. Caretakers: if they need to wear any floatation device you have to be in the water with them. Four stars because family bathroom doesn’t have changing rooms, only showers with a bench.
I came here to participate in the open gym activities when I got here it was empty. I was playing basketball for around five minutes and I don’t know where from hundreds of kids start running in from like a camp. I got hit with the ball multiple times nowhere to shoot And then when I leave, I come up here to this old lady that has an attitude that says no I’m not gonna give you a refund. There’s seven hoops down there just speaking to me with extremely rude town refusing to give me my refund if they have that many kids they should reserve times
I like this community center, they have a pool, ice rinks, good size exercise areas and a nice upper gym climbing wall for the little ones. Downside is that the open gym time means lots of teenagers using...colorful words and running into the toddlers. The pool is a good size and they have To Time swim on Sunday mornings. Tot Time gets busy quickly so I recommend getting there early to grab a locker and remember your own lock. They do have a couple of lockers with keys that cost $0.50 cents to use, but they go fast.
