Clean aquatic complex featuring an Olympic-size pool, wave riders, slides, playgrounds and a zip line, plus a kiddie area.
Specific pool temperatures for the Edina Aquatic Center are not consistently published publicly. However, outdoor aquatic facilities typically maintain their water at comfortable temperatures, generally ranging from the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit (around 28-30°C), to ensure an enjoyable experience for swimmers and bathers.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This water park offers a variety of fun attractions including a very big pool with warm water, a zip line, tube and body slides, and diving boards. Many reviewers praise the highly diligent and numerous lifeguards who constantly monitor the pools, ensuring a safe environment. The facility is also noted for being very clean with staff regularly tidying up. Positive experiences often mention children loving the place, especially on hot days, and the availability of 10-pack admission tickets for a better value. However, there are significant drawbacks. The price is a common complaint, with admission at $14 per person (as of summer 2025), and an additional $8 for the flow rider. Outside food, drinks, and coolers are prohibited, and the on-site concessions are described as expensive with long wait times and limited 'healthy' options. Some staff members are reportedly impolite. Other complaints include extremely slippery locker room floors and small lockers (for which bringing your own lock is recommended). One review suggests other local water parks like Webber, Jim Lupient, Elm Creek, Cascade Bay, or Bunker Beach (which offers an annual permit) might offer a better overall experience for the price. There was also a mention of potential overcrowding in the toddler area due to field trips, advising to call ahead.

Super fun pool. Very big and warm water. Easy to see your kid everywhere. We loved the zip line. They have a slide with a tube and a body slide. And the diving boards are super fun. We didn’t do the flow rider but it looked fun.
Any reviews mentioning the prices are outdated. In summer 2025 it is $14 per person - regardless of whether you're senior, military or a child. Also, reviews mentioning that you can bring food inside are also outdated. There is signage before entering saying you cannot bring outside food, drinks or coolers inside the water park. Near the designated eating area with tables and umbrellas, they sell typical water park food for exorbitant prices. Think pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, sodas. The "healthy" option is those overpriced pretzel and hummus snack packs. Overall it's not a bad place but the staff are not polite, it's expensive and you can't bring your own food. To put it in perspective, Webber is free, Jim Lupient is $5, Elm Creek is $7, Cascade Bay in Eagan is $16 per person and is much larger and more pleasant. An annual permit for Bunker Beach is $30. I think you'd have a better day out at any of these other places.
Love this pool! It’s a great day every time we go. If you plan to use the lockers, bring your own lock! Also, they’re kind of small, so you might want to bring two if you have a lot of stuff. I prefer to keep coming back here over other pools and water parks primarily because of the very diligent lifeguards. They are all clearly so locked in on their jobs. There are many of them stationed around the pool and other attractions, and their eyes never stop scanning and checking in on everyone. They even rotate stations regularly so no one gets bored or starts slacking on their assigned zone. I can be fully confident that even if I don’t currently have eyes on the kids, they do. My very small complaints are that the floors in the locker rooms are SO slippery. They really need to add some texture to them because when your feet are wet it feels like you’re walking on slick ice. The lines at concessions are also insane. They have multiple windows, but typically only one open so you wait in line for 30 minutes… the food is pretty good for a public pool, but not worth it to have to wait that long. Bring your own food or plan a shorter trip that won’t overlap with a meal time.
Very clean public pool. My kids LOVE it. 2 water slides, a zip line, two diving boards…each of these components have a one to one life guard ratio. There is a wave simulator for an extra $8. I usually get freaked out by public pools. I just can’t handle hairballs and bandaids but I have never seen either of these things at this pool! They constantly have staff cleaning. It’s a great place to take kids on a hot day.
Fantastic experience! I’ve never seen lifeguards like these. I wish I could post a video. Their heads are on a constant swivel scanning the water. Every single one of them. It’s pretty cool to watch. I came on a Tuesday and it wasn’t super busy. Plenty of open seats and it was 80-90 degrees. Kids all had a blast. The one thing I will say is that there was a field trip or something that brought a massive group of kids in, but they all went into the toddler area. It didn’t affect us because I have older children, but I could imagine it wasn’t the best experience for those there with toddlers. Might be worth calling ahead to see if anything like that is planned for the day. I bought the 10 pack of admission tickets for $110 (so $11 a piece) and thought it was totally worth the price. Two water slides, zip line, two diving boards, plenty of swim space, and the toddler play area. The water boarding was $8 extra but you got a wristband could do it unlimited times once you paid.
