I am currently a guest at the Garden district hotel and I just wanted to say what a gem of a hotel this is. I will come to the hotel and amenities in a bit but first I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the staff. I was put in a cute room but it was next to the pool and I told them it’s a bit loud and without any question- they moved me to a quieter part of the hotel in an even cuter room. The staff is professional and kind but never over bearing. They solve any issues you might have swiftly and are just kind people which is something we all need more of in the world. Now coming to the rooms- they are clean, have all the essential materials and cozy. They have an amazing pool area and an incredible bar/restaurant (the bar tenders I got were so funny and knowledgeable). Their gym has all the essentials and open 24/7 so I could go in between my work. The location is quieter, residential but just few minutes from the French quarter and downtown. I am loving my stay so far and based on my experience so far, I would highly recommend this hotel.
I went at the end of May and I loved staying here. It was so clean and well thought of. The rooms were the perfect size and very comfortable! However, the pool was AMAZING!! It was such a relaxing get away and was perfectly in walking distance to some good food and a quick drive to shopping :)
BEST HOTEL IN NEW ORLEANS! I was blown away by this hotel. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in New Orleans and this is one I will definitely be coming back to. The lobby was warm and inviting as well and the front desk manager. The entire hotel and room was clean, fresh and smelled amazing. I had the best night of sleep, it was so quiet (I was a little concerned before staying because I booked the room that's on Prytania Street but the room was essentially sound proof. We didn't hear any traffic). I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool but I did have coffee out there in the morning and it was so clean, spacious and peaceful. Great Stay!
Unfortunately, I have to leave a bad review for this beautiful hotel. I was there to spend a night in a room suitable for four guests that comes with four pool passes, covered by the initial cost of the room. My friends informed staff that I, the third guest will be arriving shortly later. When I arrived to the pool, I was charged $45 dollars to purchase a “day pass” wristband. When we exclaimed our confusion, we were told the manager was not around to assess the problem due to his absence at the hotel, at the moment. We were understandably explained by a new employee that this place was still pretty new still and he wasn’t sure how to work the systems to refund. Upon leaving the next day, we talked to the front desk, with the manager. They asked for the card information used for the transaction however, they were not able to locate the card information to initiate the refund because “the numbers of the card information change after it goes through the system”. I declined their offer to “instead get a free day pass to make up for it” … “or contact your bank”, in which does not work that way. Today, I still have not been able to get in touch with them weeks after or been contacted by them. So on, I also received a telephone number the manager gave me, (after he started to write down a different, “wrong” number) and turned to be out of service. When I called the hotel to explain that now, I revived the mangers number, which looked to match the one he accidentally started to write down. I’ve called again and again and have received nothing. I wish my experience was different because this place is just beautifully designed!
Honestly we didn't stay at this hotel we came because its (supposedly) has the only swim up bar in the area. Well spoiler alert they are not using it because the city says if it doesn't have a roof they can't use it. On the upside they serve drink from a widow 10 feet from the pool. Drinks were awesome, food was awesome, the water is like bath water and great ppl watching. I absolutely loved this place!!! Pool is 100/100 for the area!!
