Stunning views of the Hudson, mountains & USMA. Gorgeous gothic revival architecture. Steeped in over two-hundred years of military history, this hotel is one of a kind. A true destination spot. We spent two days soaking up the rich atmosphere and exploring the town of Highland Falls. A truly uplifting experience for all.
As an Army veteran and football season ticketholder, I've been coming to West Point for many years. So when it was time for my fiance and I to start planning our wedding, we knew that it had to be at the Thayer. From the minute we started the planning process, we knew that we made the right choice. All the staff involved in making our day special were amazing. From Melissa our sales manager, Chef Chris, Talia and Tiffany our Maitre D's, to our awesome bartender Daphne they made our day perfect. The hotel itself is iconic and full of history and heritage, it made the perfect setting for a wedding celebration. It's castle like appearance with commanding and breathtaking views made for an absolutely stunning backdrop. The ability to take photos at Trophy Point, the cadet chapel and south dock train station made it an even better experience. The cocktail hour was amazing, and Talia ensured that we had enough to eat in the privacy of an ensuite area while we decompressed from the ceremony before joining our guests for our reception. The food was top notch and perfectly prepared, a testament to the Chef and his skilled team. The event spaces were set up to perfection and the wait staff and other bartenders were skilled, and efficient. The after party at Zulu on the rooftop was the finishing touch on our perfect day. If you're looking for the fairytale wedding location, definitely don't hesitate to checkout the Thayer.
Beautiful hotel and view. Was here for a wedding so it was a crazy weekend with several going on at once. We got the wrong welcome back even after asking if they were sure since I didn’t recognize the name on the bags. The rooms are nice but I was surprised by the lack of a mini fridge considering how much the rooms cost. Valet included is a lovely touch since parking isn’t great.
Our meals were at Patton's Tavern. 5 stars isn't enough for Patton's Tavern! They deserve more than that. Chill place, good service, and amazing food. Everything that we had was worth trying. No bad meals. Portions are big enough that you can get two meals out of whatever you get. The Thayer Hotel was stunning. I was impressed with the architecture. The view overlooking the Hudson River is breathtakingly beautiful.
I scheduled a work conference here and the service was unbelievable. The food provided our meeting was fantastic and everyone bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The Hudson River views were gorgeous and I look forward to going back.
