Our dog loves every year at the end of summer when they do the dog splash. We also had our kids at this center for swim lessons and they were great.
We normally love Clearfield Aquatic. We’ve done swim lessons for our special needs kiddo and they e always done a good job with him. The pool is always clean and checked regularly. However, be aware! Today the kids wanted to go swimming. I know they do a lot of lessons in The summer, but have no clue of the times. Again, special needs kiddo and I didn’t want a meltdown (nor did I want to get into a suit myself for no reason) so I called and asked when their open plunge was for the day. I was appropriately told that the lap pool was down for maintenance, and INCORRECTLY told that the other pool was open till 8. No mention of lessons, I asked again and he said it was open till 8. The met down when we got there was great! Someone answering phones should check the schedule!
Went here for my nephews birthday celebration and it was spacious. Not sure how much the fee was but they had a party room that we used and it was sound proof. Also had a water slide and a tracker that kids could wear while swimming. I like that they take breaks and clear out the pool for 15mins to make sure nobody has drowned or anything. They also had life jackets that kids could use for free. The women’s bathrooms had showers and bathroom stalls, the place was clean.
The life guards here are great. They are so dedicated. To look at them they seem preoccupied, but it's because they are so focused on their area(s). I know they have zones they are in charge of and they are so focused on these zones and keeping my kids safe. I mention this because I know some people have given low reviews because they got bumped or they were in the path of the life guards. And the reviewer felt like they needed an apology for getting "bumped". The life guard was focused on children that are struggling in the pool because parents often think the life guards are their baby sitters. I know because I watched a parent get bumped while they were in the path of a life guard. The life guard wasn't able to turn around and give this person a "normal" apology or hand shake or whatever. I'm sure the girl life guard that is little over 100 lb and just barely over 5 foot really meant to "push" you. I saw it. Don't feel hurt that you didn't get a proper sorry from her because you were in zone path. I'd rather her be focused on her area than make sure she attends to your pride. BTW, they do have cameras, so don't try and prove otherwise. Thank you life guards. You're great.
Super loud. The lifeguards were whistle happy and kept blowing them every ten seconds (no exaggeration). There has to be a verbal warning or something they can do besides that first. The music was far too loud as well. The amenities are nice but my kids said they would rather have gone without them to go to a quieter, less crowded pool.
