Year-round pool featuring a wave pool and a bubble cover for winter use.
The wave pool and kiddie pool are typically maintained between 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C). The lap pool's temperature ranges from 78-80°F (25.6-26.7°C), and a hot tub is kept at approximately 102°F (38.9°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This facility garners mixed reviews, with significant praise for its excellent wave pool, which many describe as fun and ocean-like with plenty of tubes and attentive lifeguards. It is also highlighted as a great venue for parties, offering ample grassy areas and a relaxed atmosphere for music. However, the facility faces considerable criticism for its limited amenities beyond the wave pool, lacking features like diving boards or slides, and a general sentiment that the city requires a larger, more modern recreation center. The lifeguard certification class is strongly advised against, with complaints of ineffective teaching, difficult pass-offs using an overly heavy dummy, and a high failure rate. Management receives strong negative feedback for a strict policy of charging non-participating adults, even those only monitoring children, which is perceived as poor customer service. Minor drawbacks include water that can be chilly (even 80 degrees in August was noted as cold after sunset), and waves in the shallow end that can be too intense for very young children, along with pricey food options.

The staff have always been good to deal with there just isn’t a lot of options at this pool. The wave factor is unique but no diving boards, no slides, the “Wibit” you see pictured is a Fall Monday-only thing. The largest city in Davis county needs a big nice rec. center like Bountiful or Clearfield.
If you need to get lifeguard certified don’t take the class here. Skills are taught ineffectively and made extra difficult. After being poorly taught, then students are expected to do the skills 100% perfectly during pass off or they are failed, little feedback or help to get them passed off. They also use a dummy for the victim rescue which no other aquatic centers in Davis county use in their lifeguard classes (all the others use a real person who is an instructor and trained to simulate a drowning person). The dummy fills up with water more and more becoming heavier and heavier with each student trying to save it. So you just hope and pray you’re not the last one to pass off the skill. The dummy weighs 200lbs +. No wonder the fail rate is so high here. Go take it at Clearfield City Aquatics. We had 10000% better experience there, and my daughter became so much more comfortable with the skills she learned, and the teachers there were great mentors.
I took my young daughters to this citizen owned, Not City Owned surf and swim to let my daughters play racket ball. I was told right off by the children running the place that I would have to leave the building or be charged for 3 people. I told them I'm not playing only monitoring my young kids. They told me then you can all leave because No one can watch or be in the building without paying! Is this the work of adults or just the children they put in charged of the place. I am furious about this and I'm going to tell everyone I meet about the crap management at the people own facility.
Very very good mate! Waves are good like ocean, had big blast! Went on a weekday and had me feeling like a fish! also had lots of tubes for me to do my loops in! Staff at front desk told me all me is to know, they very nice! The waves is crazy fun—big ones, little ones, don’t matter, they all awesome. Felt like I was at the beach, but no sand gettin’ in my shoes, ya know? Water lookin’ super blue and cool, perfect for chillin’. Lifeguards standin’ there makin’ sure everybody safe, so you ain’t gotta worry 'bout nothin'. Food kinda pricey, but who cares? Them nachos still hit the spot. Plus, they got chairs everywhere, so you can chill out when you done splashin’. I’d go back every day if I could. Best wave pool EVER!
Pool facts: was 80 degree water in August. It was very chilly after sunset. 8 feet deep at the deepest. Waves seem to be every 20 minutes or so. Surprisingly, the waves are the MOST intense in the shallow as you walk into the pool. Which wouldn't be good for toddlers and babies. (Like, the waves knocked me-a grown-up, over while sitting.) 3 student size tubes for all sizes of kids/adults. (Unlike Cherry Hill, which only has big ones.), I went here for a neighborhood party, and it was great. Big grassy area with tables for eating and mingling and playing yard games. They let us play loud, fun music during the party until 10 pm, which made it fun to dance in the pool. Fun pool! I will definitely be back. **If you liked this review or thought it was helpful, give it a thumbs up. 👍thanks!
