Chill hangout featuring an Olympic-size pool, a slide and a kiddie section, plus friendly staff.
As a seasonal outdoor facility, the pools at Oxford Valley Park Pool are generally not heated to a specific, consistent temperature. Their temperatures fluctuate primarily with ambient weather conditions and sun exposure, reflecting typical unheated or minimally heated outdoor pool temperatures for the region during the summer season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The community pool garners mixed feedback, but is frequently praised for its cleanliness, clear water, and the spaciousness of its Olympic-sized main pool, which generally prevents it from feeling overcrowded even during busy periods. Many appreciate its relaxed, '90s vibe,' the presence of a spiral slide (though with limited operational hours), a dedicated small kid pool, and a lift chair for accessibility. It's often viewed as good value for its admission price, and the option to bring outside food is a positive. However, a primary source of dissatisfaction centers on the management of large summer camp or daycare groups. Reviewers frequently report inadequate supervision within these groups, leading to unruly behavior that can overwhelm parts of the pool and detract from the experience for other patrons. Suggestions include implementing specific hours or designated areas for these groups. Additional criticisms point to limited operating hours (12 pm - 7 pm), with a desire for extended evening swimming, and the waterslide's tendency to close early (by 4 pm) or be unavailable. Patrons also noted a scarcity of picnic tables and beach chairs, which can lead to perceived overcrowding on weekends, often necessitating bringing personal seating.

This is our first year getting passes for the pool. We absolutely loved it . It’s always clean and clear … and it’s never really to busy . The pool is huge so even when it seems busy there’s still plenty of room to be in the pool . The only thing I’d change is the hours .. 12pm till 7 pm is what it offers now but they have nice lights and would be great if they had night swimming. We attended a movie night at the pool and the lights were really nice to swim under . Also they have a water slide but it’s only open until 4 pm and I find that kinda unfair. There’s alot of people who work during the day and when they bring there kids it’s to late for the slide and they always have a bunch of life guards sitting around so I’m sure one of them can watch the kids on the slide but obviously that’s my own opinion. I rate this pool a 10 out of 10
This is my fiance and my second time here, but overall, it's a pretty chill place to relax. I wish it was a lil cheaper then $8 bucks a head. Especially since they are not letting use the waterslide 😭.. But other then that, it's all good. Especially since I'm the only one who pooped in the pool!! Ahaha
*Updated* I mentioned a similar experience in my previous post but today's experience has completely ruined any chance that we will go back to this pool. Again, another day with more summer day care camps or child care programs. One of which had about a 1:20 counselor to child ratio, the other about a 1:5. The kids are kids. Yes, they essentially took over the entire back half of the pool with about 40 kids and two counselors/ daycare providers. The adults were unable to control the them at all, they just decided best to join them and swam with them. The fact that the program staff and pool management think people want to pay to be swarmed with unruly hoards of kids is ridiculous. I absolutely think the kids should be able to use the facility but I think there should be posted hours for groups with enforced rules. Since the pool opens at 12, open an hour or two earlier for kid camps OR just don't let them take over, have a section. ________________________________________ The pool itself was great. The biggest complaints we had were based more on the pool patrons. There was a summer camp with three Counselors, responsible for an estimated 20+ children. They allowed the kids, varying in age to roams free in small groups. The kids were way to excited and behaving poorly. I wouldn't expect the pool to allow such large groups with little supervision. There are a very limited number of picnic style tables and beach chairs. Most people claimed areas larger than reasonably needed and just left their belongings as they swam. For the annual member rate and daily price, I don't think you can beat it. Just be prepared to encounter unruly children and (some) ignorant people.
Lovely basic community pool. Has a 90s vibe and is laid back. There is a spiral slide and a small kid pool. The Olympic size pool makes it feel like there is barely anyone there, even on crowded days! Has a lift chair into the pool as well for those who need if!
Nice community pool. It can get very busy on weekends in that case you can bring in your own chairs as the ones provided fill up fast. Also you can bring in food and spend the day its reasonably priced if you don't have a season pass.
