Neighborhood park featuring a swimming pool, disc golf, baseball field, and skateboard park.
Pier Pool is a seasonal outdoor swimming facility. Specific temperature data is not typically published, as it is generally an unheated pool whose water temperature naturally fluctuates with ambient summer air conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews suggest a mixed experience with local recreational facilities. Many appreciate parks that offer a variety of amenities, including pools, disc golf, playgrounds, basketball courts, skate parks, and serene trails. However, specific pool experiences frequently cite issues such as extreme overcrowding, misleading pricing information, and strict entry policies (e.g., denying single individuals at 'family swim' events). A significant concern is the closure of a once-beloved community pool by Portland Parks and Rec due to alleged neglect, resulting in a substantial reduction in accessible swimming opportunities for residents and a criticism of the city's management of public swimming facilities.

As for now still great park with pool and much more.
Before Portland Parks and Rec decided to close the pool, this was a wonderful spot to swim during the summer. So many kids learned how to swim here and it is such a shame that no one else in the future will have that opportunity. Portland Parks and Rec willfully neglected taking care of the pool until time got the better of it and it broke. Unfortunately, the next closest pool is 45 minutes one way by public transit, and is now shared with over 200,000 other Portland residents - the city only has three functioning indoor pools for its more than 600,000 residents. Do better, Portland Parks and Rec. Don't leave us out to dry.
Love it here! Everything including disk golf, play toys, basketball court, slate park, pool and awesome trails all in a forest like serene. I push my girls in their stroller through the park all the time, it's so peaceful.
Nice pool if you are an older child or adult. It has a “shallow” end but is about 3 feet so if you have children above 5 years old then it is okay. The pool is EXTREMELY full of other people and doesn’t give much room to swim in. We also called before going and spoke to a girl. She told us it would be around $5 for 2 people but got there and it was $5 for EACH person. Other than those issues we had a great time.
