Public swimming pool featuring a separate pool for younger children.
Specific, consistently maintained pool temperatures are typically not provided for outdoor public pools like Blackwell Pool. Its temperature is primarily dependent on the weather and ambient air conditions during its operational season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool generally receives very positive feedback, with numerous patrons commending the friendly, attentive, and professional staff and lifeguards. Its cleanliness and good pool temperature are frequently highlighted, and many appreciate its community value and suitability for families. However, common criticisms include a significant lack of shaded areas, extended waiting times due to lengthy breaks for maintenance and testing, and the non-enforcement of designated swim times. Visitors are often advised to bring their own chairs or umbrellas to mitigate the lack of on-site amenities.

Short visit due to weather but the entire staff was very friendly, pool was great temperature, and even though it did not bother me and was totally fine, kids were splashing around my friend and I and the lifeguard asked them to stop. Good to see a staff pay attention. I’ll be back!
Very clean, well life-guarded community pool. So lucky to have this pool, and the staff is great!!
Blackwell pool will always be the heart of Blackwell. If you are from Southside then you probably have went for a swim or 2 in your lifetime.I love taking my kids places that I went to as a child. My boys love to hear stories about my childhood so taking them to the pool warmed my heart. The lifeguards were young but they were definitely on their job.But on the schedule it has designated times like adult swim,ECT they don't enforce.Everyone swims at the same time. The pool is actually a good size for everyone to enjoy. Its kinda hard to get a chair tho so bring your own.The only thing is they told us we had to get out for 15 mins so they could treat and test the levels. And then after 15 mins passed I asked if we could get back in and they said they are now on their 45 min break sooo why not just close the pool for a hour.Yal can test the levels and have a break.Thats a long time for us to just be standing around in the heat waiting to get back in.Its absolutely no shaded area.Thats just a suggestion.I can't wait until the pool opens this summer tho.Very much enjoyed.
Great lifeguard's , very clean, the staff are genuinely nice kids with endless potential in the community. Great situation
A good place to take a nice dip on a scorching hot summer day. The only down side is that they provide no protection from the sun or elements so I suggest bringing a umbrella for shade or something of that sort. Closed for the Winter 22
