We live down the street and love Hotchkiss Pool! It's been a fun summer tradition of ours to pickup our 3 year old from daycare then take her to family swim for a bit during the 5-7pm window on a weeknight. The pool is fairly bare bones, nothing fancy, but always friendly life guards and we like that she can splash in the kiddy pool a bit more on her own, too, since she doesn't know how to swim by herself yet in deeper water. We love Battery Park pool, as well, but this one stays a lot less crowded. Perfect for a quick dip especially for folks living nearby.
Such a wonderful FREE pool to enjoy with your family! I visited yesterday around 2pm and their were a few kids joyfully playing while I swam some laps. My former city didn’t have any public pools so this has been such a gift to me.
I recently visited this pool, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The water was murky and had a strange odor, making it clear that it wasn't being properly maintained. The tiles around the pool were cracked and filthy, posing a significant safety hazard. To make matters worse, there were no lifeguards on duty, and the staff seemed completely uninterested in addressing any concerns. The changing rooms were a disaster—dirty, with broken lockers and no hot water in the showers. Overall, it was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this pool to anyone and will certainly never be returning.
I’m sure it’s a great pool but I went here in the middle of the day during business hours and the place was locked up and empty. Second time this has happened
Don't try calling, the phone number goes straight to voicemail and their voice mail box is full, unbelievable 🤦🏾♀️
