What are people saying (AI review summary)? This facility offers a fun experience, particularly for families with young children, with many appreciating the clean environment, attentive lifeguards, and good setup for kids. Weekday visits are highly recommended as they are less crowded, cheaper, and more peaceful. However, significant drawbacks include limited operating hours, with weekday closures beginning mid-August, leading to extreme crowding and overuse on weekends. There are consistent complaints about poorly maintained bathrooms, limited shade, and occasional pool closures due to 'accidents'.

This is a pretty cool place. Unfortunately, we were only able to use it the last two hours of the weekend. Due to college kids going back to school, the facility basically closes down mid August (during the week) and opens only on weekends. On weekends, it's extremely crowded and overused. Bathrooms are definitely not kept up!! At the very least, the Splash Park area could be kept open, as it is at Occoneechee SP, which does not have lifeguards, and the pools could be closed off.
My family had such a great time. Clean facility, several attentive lifeguards, lots of happy children and yet it's large enough where it didn't feel crowded, perfect set up for young kids, and plenty of seating for parents. We've been to both and this was much better than the theme park water parks for our young children.
Our visit today was amazing! It was a weekday, so it was cheaper. The pools was not crowded. My kids were able to play as freely as they pleased. There were no accidents in the pool like it was last time we went there and we had to keep getting out of the water. I even got in and enjoyed the water because I didn't have to worry about watching over my kids and moving around everytime they moved I posted up in the 3ft pool and saw every inch of where they moved to! I love weekdays! For the price and the peace.
Staff helpful it was hot limited shade available get there early if you want shaded area.
My first time here even though I lived here for over 30 years. Wow, makes me sound old. Ha. Anyway, it was cool, or hot rather. I couldn't take it and got wet. I wasn't trying to, but it felt great. The kids had fun, we were there for about 1.5 hours before they closed it as someone pooped in the pool. It was a good experience other than that. I didn't get to check out the food. Maybe next time. They did offer a rain check but since the park will be closing soon, I just didn't stand in line for mine.
