This pool is such a hot spot--the vibe is VERY chill and friendly. We love spending *ALMOST* every day of the summer there.
Great, family friendly, diving boards and lifeguards on staff. Swim team is great for my nephews in the summer!
Great family pool, hidden gem. Tons of band nights, can man, good, games, swim team, dive team.
I grew up in the neighborhood, frequently attending the Bon Air Community Association. When my wife and I returned to our roots, we decided to join Woodmont Pool. I give it a 5-star review for several reasons. Firstly, I was seeking a change from the suburban pool scene, especially after Bon Air. While Bon Air was a wonderful facility with great people, it had a competitive and elitist atmosphere that didn’t suit me. I wanted my children to be in an environment free from those pressures, which impacted me negatively. Interestingly, my children are already more adept than I ever was, so go figure. Woodmont offers a free-spirited atmosphere! I never imagined I'd find a pool with a “beer toss” competition during the Fourth of July party. The members are non-judgmental and don’t constantly compare credentials, unlike at other pools. Woodmont even has a high dive, a unique feature for local community pools. The facilities are extremely clean, and the amenities are up to date. I highly recommend this place.
Woodmont Rec is undergoing a bit of a renaissance. It is a family-friendly pool and a great place to help kids learn to swim. The swim and dive teams are always fun. The tennis courts can use some love and are currently unusable, though it appears that some alternative plans are being considered. The outdoor pool is on the small side, but has high and low diving boards. It has a snack bar with the typical suspects. There is also a wading pool for toddlers. There is often a ping pong table set up. The facility can be rented for parties and events.
