What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this facility are mixed, with several positive aspects highlighting a clean environment, alert and nice staff, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the heated pool, water slide, and the adjacent park, noting it's a great place for younger kids and birthday parties. The staff is generally praised for working hard to ensure safety, even if it means strict rules like no splashing. However, experiences with swim lessons are notably polarized. While some parents report very positive experiences with active teachers, progress reports, and their children loving the classes, others express significant disappointment. Negative feedback on swim lessons includes a lack of teacher direction, inefficient use of multiple teachers, timid and quiet instructors, and class time being monopolized by disruptive students, leading to concerns about the quality of instruction and teaching of core swimming skills.

Well, this is our first experience doing swim lessons here and I was super disappointed in the lack of direction the teachers had for having two teachers in my daughters class only one would help each at a time and make the others all wait for that one student while the other teacher stood there. And did nothing. My daughter is 9. And the jelly fish class did A LOT more than my daughter’s Sea Lion class. They swam a larger distance than her class did as well. For only being 30 min class the direction needs to be clear and the teachers were very timid and seemed uncomfortable with teaching speaking louder than a whisper I couldn’t hear them and my daughter barely could. They kept stopping the class to talk to a student in her class who would not stop talking about things that had nothing to do with teaching the kids to swim and he refused to participate most of the time so he monopolized the entire 30 minutes which I’m not paying for my child to just swim through a hoop right up against a wall and listen to another kid talk to the teacher the whole time. We’re here for these teachers to make an effort to teach kids to float, swim and breathing in the water
I absolutely love that they help every student. They give you a progress report to let you know how your child is doing. The teachers are very active with each student and as a class. My child loves going to swim class and looks forward to it.
Came during winter when closed but very nice clean place. The park next door is open year round. Offers big and little kid playgrounds, basketball court, tables spaced apart and BBQs.
My hubby & I came here for our granddaughters birthday party, we didn't go in the pool . We enjoyed sitting in the shade and watching the kids have a great time. Very clean and all the life guards are very alert ! Well staffed and very nice. 🥳😊
Great place for younger kids. The staff here is good and they work hard to make sure everyone is safe. A tad strict in that they don't let you splash, but I'm just assuming that means it has gotten out of hand before. The water slide is a great way for kids to overcome that as a fear. Pool is heated. No jacuzzi, but it's Placerville and the summers would be way too hot for the jacuzzi
