What are people saying (AI review summary)? This neighborhood pool receives mostly positive reviews, being praised for its cleanliness, free admission, and consistent operating hours (generally 1 PM to 7 PM or 8 PM, with some variations like being closed on Wednesdays or open Wednesday-Sunday). Many appreciate the availability of free life jackets, various hourly activities (like races and cannonball contests), and free kid lunches. The pool offers both a shallow kiddy area (1-2 feet) and a deeper main pool (3-9 feet). While many report a great experience with ample and active lifeguards, one significant negative review warns parents of young children against visiting, citing unruly behavior among other kids (cursing, fighting) and unhelpful teenage lifeguards.

It is a nice neighborhood pool. The pool is open from 1pm to 7pm. They had several hourly activities, such as races and cannonball jump contest. The pool was clean and there were more than enough life guards actively watching. There is a kiddy pool, 1 foot to 2 feet depth. Also bigger pool from 3 feet to 8-9 feet.
To all the parents that have little children, I would not advise you to take them to Southside lions swimming pool there's just kids cursing ,fighting, little gangsters and then at that all you have is nothing but kids babysitting the place the lifeguards are practically teenagers they can't even help you.. it used to be such a wonderful place. I would never ever go back there. Stay Safe everyone....
Open 1-8pm every day except on Wednesdays. Clean pool and not that busy between 1 and 3. They give out free kid lunches around 2pm
We love this neighborhood pool. It feels like it's the only public pool in the whole city that's consistently open when they say they are going to be open: Wednesday to Sunday 1pm to 7pm. And it's free. They even provide life jackets for the kids first come first serve. Been coming here for years since I was young. Other city pools should take note and open your pools during the summer for kids to have something to do.
My kids and I had a great time last weekend and we will definitely be back
