What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for British Swim School are largely positive, with multiple parents expressing high satisfaction. Many commend the dedicated management and coaches for genuinely caring about the students' learning and progress, fostering a love for swimming. Specific praise is given to the school for helping children overcome initial fears and master swimming skills, with one parent noting significant progress in just six months. The structure of the lessons, comfortable learning pace, and a convenient mobile app for scheduling absences and makeup classes are also highlighted as strong points. Manager Lorena is specifically lauded for her responsiveness and care for families. However, one comprehensive negative review details a highly unfavorable experience, citing issues such as frequent coach changes, very short effective learning time per lesson (reportedly 5 minutes), and a particularly distressing incident where a child was unfairly removed from a class due to the school's own scheduling error. This review strongly criticizes the management's incompetence, lack of apology, and insensitivity, describing the experience as traumatic for the child and detrimental to their confidence and desire to swim.

My child is absolutely thrilled with the lessons and enjoys them so much. What I appreciate the most is that both the management and the coaches truly care about the learning process—not just doing their job, but genuinely investing in the students’ progress. It’s clear that they love what they do, and it really makes a difference!
We are so happy. Our son couldn't put his head under water when he started and now 6 months later he has mastered swimming. He is safe in the water. And can swim all the strokes confidentiality. Thank you to the owner and her team. Don't look anywhere else for swim lessons.
I tried different swim lessons for my daughter, but British Swim School is the best. Lorena is a very good manager. She is always responsive and cares about kids and families. She is always willing to help. I highly recommend British Swim School of Santa Teresa and Santa Cruz.
We highly recommend the British Swim School for anyone starting off. The levels are well thought out and the instructors take extra care in ensuring the kids learn at a pace that’s comfortable for all. We have had nothing but positive experiences since we enrolled our child in BSS. Their app is very convenient and easy to use to schedule absences and makeup classes.
My 5 year old kid’s been leaning here for two months till today, among which half of the time is totally a waste of time due to terrible arrangements of the coach cause no one can actually learn anything with frequently change of the coach and only 5min learning time for each lesson! However that’s not the worst, the worst thing is that they kicked my kid out of the class brutally and unfairly today due to a schedule error on their side!!! How could anyone do such things to a kid to a client??!! This mistake not only disrupted her experience but also left her feeling embarrassed and upset. I’ve never seen a club with such terrible management and incompetence . This sort of experience ruins my kid’s day, kills her confidence and love for swimming… now I feel so regretful for signing her here… And now I’m surprised you still refer to this as “confusion”!?! First, it’s you who asked me to take her to a make up class at 5pm, you failed to put that in your system and you didn’t bother to say that I’m sorry for the miss? Secondly, the mom sat next to me clearly stated that she should attend a 6:30pm lesson, so according to your protocol, it’s her kid that should be kicked out, not mine, I told your staff about that, but you don’t care, you just asked us to leave without any explanation or any call. And I wasn’t intended to tell you why we decided to drop off earlier because I don’t want to upset you. But the truth is my kid made progress recently because I took her to pool every week to practice swimming, apparently it’s much more effective than spending 5min learning at your pool. Honestly, her being able to float is not a credit of your side… Last, yesterday my kid was so upset and traumatized that she told me she would never attend a swim class ever! What a bad experience you have given her! But yet none of you guys feels sorry or apologizes for what you have put her through…
