What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this pool facility present a mixed but largely critical picture. Positively, the location is praised for its beautiful grounds among redwood trees, offering amenities like BBQ, basketball, and swings, making it suitable for parties. The pool itself is often described as warm, clear, and clean, providing a good refuge during hot weather. Some members found it relatively inexpensive and appreciated the community aspect for making friends. However, significant criticisms are raised regarding management and facility upkeep. Concerns include an unannounced change from non-profit to LLC status, unfulfilled promises regarding heater repairs despite member donations, and new restrictions prohibiting children from playing in the pool or using pool toys. The cleanliness of bathrooms is a recurring negative point, with descriptions ranging from 'not pristine' to 'disgusting,' and inadequate cleaning practices cited. A controversial claim about an 11-year-old grandson serving as a paid lifeguard is mentioned, both affirmed and denied across reviews. Parking issues with a neighbor scratching members' cars on a public road are also reported. Most critically, there are serious allegations of the operating family being unwelcoming, claiming the pool as 'theirs,' and exhibiting discriminatory behavior towards members of non-white and non-American backgrounds.

Nothing more is needed when I came here. This is a great place for parties with BBQ, basket ball, tether ball, horseshoes, swings, bathrooms with showers and the cleanest pool your buck can buy. The grounds are kept beautiful in the best location amongst the redwood trees. All around... A safe place for the kids that's kept clean with the nicest staff.
We've been members of this pool for 3 years now and its been wonderful, the pool is warm, clear and always a good place to hang out on the absolutely hadal summertime (we don't have air conditioning). I also saw another review where they said that there is an 11-year old lifeguard, uh... no? we go there almost every day and have never seen this person. I will say the bathrooms are not exactly pristine though but not in a disgusting state really, I Dont know what to say about parking because we live near by but I do remember that someone was trying to illegally put cones up near their house (they live near the pool) last year. idk about the complaints but I do know that the owners have been pretty welcoming at least to us but that might just be because my dad's grandpa worked with them.
We have been members for 4 years. Pros: It's relatively inexpensive compared to Bay Area standards, and we have made good friends. Cons: The management of this pool is highly questionable. Initially, it was a non-profit, but they changed it to a limited liability company (LLC) without informing anyone (the pool is technically owned by an HOA but neighbors did not want to mantain it so it became a non-profot). During the pandemic, we even donated extra money to repair the pool, but they did not fix the heater, neither refunded us nor provided any explanation. Furthermore, they prohibit children from playing inside the pool and have removed all pool toys. To make matters worse, they have their 11-year-old grandson serving as a paid lifeguard, which is highly unprofessional. The bathrooms have not been deep cleaned for years and are in a disgusting state. The lady responsible for "cleaning" them spends only 1-2 minutes in each restroom 2 times per week and uses the same cloth for both the restrooms and the dining tables. In addition, while parking our car on the road outside, we ensured not to block any entrance. However, a neighbor (the same individual who cleans the restrooms) scratched our car. We later found out that at least four other members' cars had similar incidents. It's worth noting that this occurred even though it is a public road, where she does not have authority to enforce parking regulations. Additionally, it is important to note that the family who operates the pool is not very welcoming. They explicitly stated last year that it was their pool and made it clear that we were not welcome. Furthermore, there have been multiple complaints from families who feel they have been treated poorly due to their non-white and non-American backgrounds. This discriminatory behavior is unacceptable and creates an unwelcoming environment for members.
It was really great and there wasn't much people there but the weather wasn't great, it is a good place to go to when it is hot.
