Update 10/2021 Laurelwood Cabana Club continues to be such a great and safe place to gather with friends. We love the swim programs, the bbq grills for meeting up with friends (no house cleaning required!) and especially the beautiful grounds and sparkling clean pool. As the world is starting to open back up, the Cabana Club has as well. There's a fun event hosted each month of the summer to help gather members and meet new people. Honestly this pool is one of the best kept secrets in the Bay Area....so thankful for it and the community it has brought to our family! We LOVE the Cabana Club! Our family has been coming to the club for a few years now and we can't say enough good things about it. We love the fact that we have a place to meet and see friends for swimming and hang outs. We have met and made some of our very best friends here. During 2020, it has been one of the only places we have been able to go. The staff has been amazing at adhering to strict social distancing guidelines while also providing a fun activity for our family to enjoy. Our kids have participated in group swim lessons - giving them a great workout with excellent coaching and guidance. While most gyms have been closed, our family has been able to enjoy lap swimming by signing up for our very own lane. We are so thankful for this community and plan to be part of it for years to come.
I go swimming with my friend here, and it is really fun! We used to be apart of the swim team, and the coaches excel at their jobs, and they know how to teach people at different ages whether they are a toddler or an adult! Parking: This place does not have a specific parking lot, but there are parking spots on the streets. However, if a swim meet is occurring, finding a parking spot may be tough. Otherwise, parking is pretty decent! Best Part: The staff are friendly, and I feel like I am in a family right when I step foot into this place. Worst Part: Most times when I get into the pool, it is cold. But when you start to get used to it, it becomes warmer. However, I do like how when it is raining, they turn on the pool heaters and cover some of the lanes. Return: Of course I will! Swimming is my favorite sport and I have a passion to become the fastest swimmer on Earth, or in California at least.
Love this club! In 2020, this place has been an absolute haven for our family, enabling our kids (8&11) to get some much needed outdoor exercise and fun. Update: We joined for the 2020 Winter swimming too, and the water was lovely and warm.
A members only pool open from April till the end of October. Various services are offered ranging from swim lessons for children, adult swim and a low stress swim team for youth aged 5 - 18. Open swim times are from 12 noon till dusk. The pool and bar-b-q can be reserved for school parties, and members private parties. A warm and friendly swim atmosphere for the young and old.
