We had a great stay here! It was the off-season but the rooms were clean. Only complaint is we only had conditioner, no shampoo or body wash. Pool towels were really small so bring your own! The early entry into the park is certainly worth it.
Rooms were nice could use an update. Service was excellent staff was helpful at a moments notice. Building and room were clean. Beach was pleasant with lots of room for guest to spread out. With well maintained sand. Pools were clean. Kitty pool had some things out of order. Building could use a "general store" its iconic Cedar point will be back
My family and I have stayed at the Breakers as a family tradition for over 50 years. Our group is now over 50 in number - all staying in rooms. The resort charges are very high with the quality of rooms not living up to those prices. Yet we return every year to enjoy the park and beach. Being able to access the park is convenient. The beach is the most beautiful beach on Lake Erie with a low grade so it is perfect for young kids. The boardwalk vibe and entertainment is a good improvement. The cons - Check-in is slow. There are no accessible doorways that we could find. We had guests who use walkers and scooters and they were at the mercy of kind people to open doors for them. Room bathrooms are small and dimly lit. Room cleanliness is average. Garbage on the beach was strewn near the cans and not picked up until 2 pm Sunday. Boats can anchor anywhere now and some move in very close. I find this dangerous as they can swing quite a bit with wind changes. In the past there were No Boat buoys which limited beach access to the areas beyond the main swimming beach.
This was our third trip to Cedar Point and our second time staying at The Breakers. As an older property it has charm, is nicely decorated and offers a lot of amenities on property. The beach and amusement park access are very nice, being able to bounce back and forth between them really can’t be overstated. The convenience in my opinion really is priceless. We were here for 4 days and I didn’t have to get in my car a single time during our visit. The room isn’t anything over the top, my family went with a conjoined room option that way our grown kids could have their own room which gave us plenty of space. The AC worked well and most importantly the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and for the most part quiet. The only thing missing was a coffee pot. Overall service was great, we tried out the Starbucks and TGIF. Since we had the dining plan we ate most of our meals in the park. If I had any “complaints” I would say it is due to the ticketing system for the park. 6 years ago when we stayed here the property used a receipt system, essentially one paper tickets for multiple days in the park. I wish they would move to a wrist band system that would cover park entry during your stay. There may be a way to integrate it all on the app but I just went with the paper ticket option so maybe that’s on me. Overall, the visit was great. It’s not inexpensive but it is a nice option if you’re looking for a spot for a family trip.
If your looking for the best possible place to stay while visiting Cedar Point, you can't get any better then the Hotel Breakers. Its located less than a 5 minute walk to the park entrance. The rooms are nice, the restaurants within the property are fine, and the hotel sits right on lake Erie which gives you beach access. Most importantly though, you get to park right near the entry gate too. Pair a stay here with the fast pass plus and you'll have an amazing experience at the park!
