About

Clean aquatic center featuring a lazy river, water slides and multiple pools.

Explicit pool temperatures for the various pools at North Pointe Aquatic Center are not consistently published on their official resources. As an outdoor aquatic facility, water temperatures generally fluctuate with the ambient weather but are maintained at a comfortable level suitable for swimming during the operational season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed perspective on the aquatic facility, largely praising its extensive features for all ages, including waterslides, a long lazy river, diverse pools, and playgrounds, which make it ideal for families. Many patrons commend the highly trained, Red Cross-certified lifeguards for their dedication to safety and attentiveness, with concessions also receiving positive remarks for quality and reasonable pricing. However, one significant negative review details a severe customer service issue involving a particular lifeguard who was reportedly rude and unaccommodating regarding lazy river rules, especially towards a disabled patron. This review also cited general pool depths as too shallow for adults (around 3 feet) and raised concerns about cleanliness, specifically mentioning slippery pool edges from film, contrasting with other reviews that describe the facility as clean and well-staffed.

My daughter and I are touring every pool in St. Louis and St. Louis County, and this has been the worst experience and one of the worst pools we've been to. We'd just come from the new pool in Webster Groves off of Elm (which is lovely, twice as big as this one and a dollar more for non-residents), which was "tube optional" for the lazy river. We decided to go to the lazy river first and just got in. Apparently, there is a singular sign that states you need a tube to enter the lazy river, which was obstructed by patrons and we missed it. Given the lack of tubes when we got in, I figured this was tube optional, as well. One lifeguard noted that we needed a tube, which I explained the mix-up to. She was fine and we agreed we'd grab one when we went back around. The next lifeguard proceeded to accost us over the issue. I also explain to him the same mix-up, to which he shouted "I don't care" at us. I asked him what he'd like us to do about it, since we were already in the damn thing and it's not like they have a decent supply of the things to begin with (otherwise, we'd have seen them piled up at the entrance). He "demanded" we exit the pool and walk all the way around to the other side of the park, barefoot on the concrete in the 110 degree heat, to collect a tube at the entrance. I had a catastrophic injury to my ankle last year and am disabled, according to the State of Missouri. I ain't doin' all that, and told him as much. Napoleon complexes from 15-year-old lifeguards will not be tolerated. I was polite and cordial until staff escalated the situation. Beyond the conflict from the wannabe cop high school staff, every pool in this place is like, three feet deep. Very lame for adults. Kids areas are fine. It also looked like it hadn't been dipped in a while, and the "shorelines" on the pools were pretty slippery from film. They may need to up the chlorine. Now excuse me, I need to shower.

Our daughter works here. The staff is highly trained and does monthly in service sessions to make sure they are properly prepared for water rescues. I have been going to this pool since I was a kid in the 80's! It is a Ballwin staple for summer. Something for everyone. I was impressed the day that Me and Our four kids went this summer, at how seriously the lifeguards take their job. Lots of kids swimming and camps, and they are ready to blow their whistle (and do) if need be. Our kids took swimming lessons here and I used to drive 30 minutes for them when we lived Farther away because rhe lifeguards where Red Cross certified. A friend would drive from St. Charles to take her kids. Love this facility and their attention to SAFETY of ALL guests. Thank-You!!

Despite a short wait, the experience was truly enjoyable thanks to the incredibly nice staff, the peaceful waterfall, and the good service at the café, even if the food wasn't perfect. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if your companions are patient, and I'd happily return!

Great pool to spend a day with the kids. 8 dollars per person for non residents. Two good waterslides, an area for toddlers, and a good playground for kids. The beach pool is large and has an attached whirlpool! There is a large pool with a deep end, swimming lanes, a diving board, plus a rock wall and rope swing. The lazy river is long as it encircles the whole park. Concessions are good and reasonably priced. Lots of seating around pools and the concession area.

This is an awesome water park. Slides, lazy river with tubes, kids area - a kids playground with slides, whirlpool that leads out into a 0 entry beach type pool. The facility is clean and the lifeguards are everywhere! The concession stand has awesome food and the prices are reasonable. The place is huge so even on a busy day it doesn't get too crowded.
