Fitness facility with indoor and outdoor pools for exercise and swimming.
The RiverChase YMCA maintains specific pool temperatures to accommodate different activities. The Warm Water Pool, ideal for therapy and leisure, is heated to 90°F (32.2°C). Both the Lap Pool and the Outdoor Seasonal Pool are kept at a comfortable 82°F (27.8°C) for general swimming and exercise.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed perspective on the establishment. Many patrons praise the gym, the outdoor waterpark and interconnected pools, and the Child Watch program, often noting the staff as awesome or outstanding. However, significant criticisms include overly restrictive deep-end pool rules (requiring a swim test for capable teenagers), concerns about the professionalism and attentiveness of some young lifeguards (ranging from arguing with parents to not checking on a fallen child), reports of a dirty indoor pool, and issues with concession stands (either not open or offering poor quality food). While some visitors had superb experiences and appreciated the atmosphere, others were highly dissatisfied, citing a lack of care from employees and vowing not to return.

My husband & I love the gym, & the kids love spending their summer break poolside, & the staff is awesome!! We 💜 it here!
I love they have an outdoor waterpark pool. The rules on the deep end pool need to be revised. To swim in the deep end without a swim test you must be 16 years old. Most people can swim in deep water effectively by age 5-6. A 14 year old who is as big as an adult male shouldn't be asked to do a swim test to swim in deep water!
If I could give this joke of an establishment zero stars I would. It’s ran by 16 year olds who like to complain about everything and there was a lifeguard outside who was nearly 60 arguing with my husband about our son going down the water slide and my husband being at the bottom of the water slide to catch our boy because NO lifeguard was at the bottom of the slide or in the water, keep in mind they’ve went down the slide while my husband was at the bottom to catch them 100x. I also seen a little boy fall down and one of the young lifeguards watched it happen and didn’t even ask the little guy if he was ok. I did. And the concession stands weren’t open. Do better. Hire nicer employees that actually care about others and have some human decency. We Will never come back here. SMH.
First time here and as a person who has visit most of all the YMCA in Saint Louis area, just WOW! This location is superb! Child Watch personnel is outstanding! They even take the kids by age to the right next indoor playground! I'm amazed!
It's nice that the outdoor pool is connected to the indoor pool so that you can go back and forth. The indoor pool seemed dirty today. We went in and went right back out. The outside pool was cold and nice!!! The lifeguards are everywhere! The concession stand had a food variety but the quality of the food was poor. We loved the music playing and it wasnt very busy for a Saturday afternoon.
