What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor present a mixed but often negative picture. Positive experiences highlight family fun, particularly in the kids' area and wave pool, noting the park's cleanliness, well-kept facilities, and unique low sensory rooms. Some visitors appreciated the availability of life vests and perceived some lifeguards as professional. However, significant criticisms include high costs for food ($18/slice pizza), drinks (inefficient $19.99 souvenir cup refills), and flash passes that often failed to reduce long wait times. Many guests reported severe overcrowding, leading to extensive waits to enter Hurricane Harbor (reaching capacity), difficulty finding seating, and slow service. Operational issues such as numerous closed rides without warning, a closed lazy river, and problems with the flash pass app were also reported, alongside limited operating hours for the water park. A serious safety concern was raised regarding a child almost drowning in the wave pool with unresponsive lifeguards, necessitating intervention from a civilian. Many negative reviews concluded with a strong intention not to return due to the overall disappointing, overpriced, and frustrating experience.

Went here with the family on Saturday...had a blast!! Arrived about 1:30pm and there was still some preferred parking, but way in the back. You do have to go in through Six Flags, then make a right into hurricane harbor so u better have a six flag ticket/pass as well. It was crowded, but we found a few spots. They don't check bags and I would suggest bringing a cooler with food and water. Pizza is $18 a slice! We mostly stayed in the kids area and the wave pool cause we had 6 kids and 5 adults. They have life vest but you can bring your own. If you bring goggles, don't bring the ones that cover your nose, those are not allowed. The wave pool is amazing and strong. They have a big sand play area and VIP areas but they were sold out. Will definitely return to explore the big side.
This was our first and definitely last visit to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor. For the outrageous amount of money spent, the experience was incredibly disappointing. We visited on a day where the temperature was over 100 degrees, so we decided to purchase several of the $19.99 souvenir cups that allow for refills every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the refill stations were few and far between, and each refill took forever because staff had to scan each cup – a process that was inexplicably slow and inefficient. Waiting in line for 30 minutes just to get a drink in a heatwave is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, half the rides throughout the main park were closed without warning or explanation. Then at Hurricane Harbor, we had to wait nearly an hour just to get into the park because it was at capacity. Once we finally got in, there was nowhere to sit – families were sitting on boulders, grass, and even the hot pavement just to take a break. The lazy river was also closed, which was one of the main attractions we were looking forward to. Overall, the day felt more like an exercise in patience and frustration than a fun family outing. Poor planning, lack of transparency, overcrowding, and overpriced everything made for a terrible experience. We won’t be back – we’ll take our family (and our money) elsewhere. What a complete mess.
A rip off Flash passes were $75 for you to have unnecessary wait times of 45-49 minutes when the rides were available. The audacity to have a standard, premium, & another flash pass which is robbery! the park is only open from 11-9pm then hurricane harbor closes at 6 which doesn’t allow time to enjoy the water park. The flash pass requires you to use your phone It kept having to be refreshed for it not to still work. Staff constantly redirecting you to guest services get there line long it’s a MESS honestly been coming for years won’t be back
My kid almost downed in the wave pool and the lifeguards did NOTHING! A random man had to save them. This is very scary considering a boy just died recently in a wave pool elsewhere. My kids were crying and shaken up! The supervisor said and did nothing. And yes my kids know how to swim! I wonder if our skin color had something to do with it. I will definitely be following up and will NOT be back!
Fantastic place to splash around and have fun with the kids, everything is very nice, clean and well kept, I saw plenty of restrooms and changing rooms, the park was full but it didn’t feel crowded, the lifeguards seem very profesional, there are enough sun beds, we had no problem finding them but I did see some people looking for one later on in the day and there was nothing, around 2pm I was amazed about the low sensory rooms around the park, I’ve never seen that before but I understand that it is a more quiet space for autistic people, I thought that was a plus. The restaurants seemed good…for a park, the rides where all fun. The parking is not to far to walk to. And entering and exiting is very fast. So…very cool place! Only thing missing is shaded areas for when it get to warm..
