About

The Timbers of Eureka Recreation Center, located at 1 Coffey Park Ln, Eureka, MO, is a comprehensive community facility offering a wide array of amenities. It features an indoor aquatic center with a lap pool, a zero-depth entry play pool, a current channel, and a water slide. The center also includes a modern fitness center equipped with cardio and weight machines, an indoor track, a climbing wall, a gymnasium, group exercise studios, community rooms for events, and on-site childcare services, catering to various recreational and fitness needs for all ages.

The indoor lap pool at The Timbers of Eureka is typically maintained at 82 degrees Fahrenheit, while the leisure pool, designed for play and zero-depth entry, is usually kept at a warmer 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The recreation center receives mixed reviews, highlighting both strengths and significant drawbacks. Positive aspects include beautiful and clean facilities, generally friendly staff (though not universally), and a fun, kid-friendly water park featuring slides, a playground, and a lazy river. The gym boasts new equipment, ample space for cardio machines, and a variety of activities and fitness classes, along with a nice daycare. However, several criticisms emerge: the lazy river was reported as dirty at opening, and party rental experiences were marred by rude staff and unclear deposit policies, leading to disputes. While the gym is suitable for cardio, it is often noted to be lacking in weight-resistance equipment (benches, racks, free weights), leading to crowded conditions in those areas, and has inconvenient hours for evening workouts. Furthermore, the facility is considered expensive by some, particularly non-residents, due to the high cost of membership and classes, and the absence of features like an indoor track or indoor pool, leading some families to not renew their memberships.

When we moved to St. Louis from Texas, were excited to have a recreation center down from our new home. We think the facility is beautiful, clean BUT... Expensive for what is offered - there is not an indoor track No indoor pool Equipment is nice Classes are expensive even if you are a member We let our membership expire because the cost is a LOT for what you " don't" get. It is a shame to have such a beautiful facility but have little to offer where many other recreation centers are more " family ' friendly in what can be offered and MUCH cheaper to join as a family. Sadly we have a family but due to the cost will not be renewing our membership

The facilities are nice, staff is friendly, pool is fun but very dirty. We came at opening and the Lazy river was full of dead bugs, leaves, and trash. I understand that as the day goes on but at open i would expect it to have been cleaned.

Do not have a party here! Some of the staff was fine but the other half was so rude. We on accidentally popped a ballon with paper in it and tried to refuse our deposit saying we signed an agreement against glitter before going in the room. The agreement wasn’t shown to us until we were walking out the door and refused to sign it until they agreed the room was up to their standards. We even got a broom and cleaned the entire room and asked the staff member if we got everything and they said it looked fine. After bringing up to the managers attention about not getting full deposit Ann made the excuse the employee was only part time and didn’t know. The person we talked to was Ann Moore and we were blown away that some one so rude is allowed to work in customer service.

As a recreation center for families, this place is great. The price is reasonable (at least for Eureka residents) considering all that is offered. The swimming area, or should I say water park, is very kid-friendly and is complete with some water slides, a water playground, fountains, a waterfall wall, and a tiny "lazy river." The building is put to great use and there are several fitness classes offered there. The daycare is nice. The staff is mostly teenagers, for better or worse. The gym is not huge, but not small. There are plenty of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, a stair master or two) and you will never have to wait for a cardio machine. The gym could use more benches, racks, pulley systems, and free weights, if there was room for them (there isn't unless perhaps some of the cardio machines were moved) as that is where the gym gets crowded. Basically the east side of the gym (where the free weights and racks are) is normally a lot more crowded than the west side (where the cardio machines are). Also the hours are disappointing for those of us who like to work out at night. So if you are looking for a family-friendly gym to do cardio at, and/or a family-friendly mini water park in the summer, this place will work great. If you want to use this place to do weight-resistance training, it is a little more difficult, because there is less equipment for the crowd interested. This place is the closest thing to a normal gym as it gets in all of Eureka. Perhaps some day a proper gym will be built in Eureka and then this place can shed some of it's gym-bro crowd (me included). For now we are grateful we at least have this place.
