This park was so nice. I love that they had different play areas for the kids. One of them adults can enjoy just as much. They have slides and so many water works. There was a huge bucket that would fill up and an alarm would sound and it would tip over. My son didn’t like this area too much because all the water spewing everywhere. The wave pool was his favorite play areas. We were there 90% of our day. There were so many things to do your child will not be bored. I recommend the dining pass because it saves much money if you are there for long and want to eat. They have water fountains available. They just did not have any funnel cake. They have plenty of sitting areas and shade so no problem with finding an area to relax in.

We love this place so much that came back the same week! We rent a cabana both time and was peaceful y convenient for the kids to relax and eat after attractions. Mango Joe's food was great 20/20 the personal beautiful from the chef to the cashier. Great customer service and the bar drink was a plus! The kids had a blast and we enjoyed every part of it. Definitely coming back!

We came on a Saturday over Memorial Day weekend and it was super hot and quite busy. Arrived around 11am and it was relatively quick to get in for a weekend. The park and bathrooms seemed pretty clean for how busy it was. We have a 2 y/o and 5 y/o so stuck mostly to kids areas and avoided the large slides that seemed to have very long lines. There was still plenty to do for young kids. There is a toddler size splash area along with a larger kids area that seems more suited for preschool-elementary ages, though some parts were okay for little ones. Finding somewhere to sit was nearly impossible and you could forget about sitting in the shade altogether. Bringing a blanket to maybe throw down in the grass somewhere might be a good option for busy weekends. Though 90% of the chairs are only occupied with people stuff. The park provides life jackets, though the smallest sizes were more scarce. If your kiddos have swim vests (with or without the arm floats), they can be brought in as long as they are coast guard approved (though I'm not sure anyone was checking). They are necessary for using the wave pool or lazy river if kids are not very strong swimmers. The walkways are also VERY hot in the sun, so I strongly recommend water shoes for all! Food options were mediocre. The app wasn't working at the time of our visit (some update happening) so we couldn't check menus or order food ahead. Lines were very long, and limited options. Overall, it's a great way to have fun in the Florida heat, but maybe not worth it on busy weekends.

This was our first visit. We came from Ocala during the week and got there around lunch time. I wish we had gotten there earlier because in the afternoon in July there's lots of rain and unfortunately not an hour after we got there the park had to be shut down because of lightning and thunder. We did get the all-you-can-eat package so while we were waiting we got some lunch. The food was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. Anybody that we talked to from the park was helpful since we had multiple questions as this was our first visit. Since the park was closed for the rest of the day after we only got to ride the rides for a short period of time we went to guest services and were eligible to receive a rain check day and that was very encouraging and we are excited to visit again with the knowledge we acquired from our first trip.

A Magical, High-Energy Night at Aqua Glow! Adventure Island’s Aqua Glow event is an absolute must-do if you’re looking for a unique, family-friendly nighttime experience in Tampa! From start to finish, it felt like a tropical party meets waterpark adventure—with neon lights, upbeat music, and glowing vibes that completely transformed the park after dark. The lighting effects around the slides, wave pool, and lazy river were incredible. Everything glowed with vibrant colors, creating an electric atmosphere that made it feel like you were inside a waterpark rave—but still totally kid-friendly and fun for all ages. The music and live DJ kept the energy high all night, and the glow accessories handed out added an extra layer of fun. What really stood out was how well the event was organized. The staff kept everything moving smoothly, lines were manageable, and lifeguards were present and attentive without being overbearing. The park was clean, safe, and clearly designed with the guest experience in mind. Floating down the lazy river at night under glowing lights and music was surreal—such a cool twist on the traditional day visit. The slides felt even more exciting in the dark with the LED lighting, and the whole park had a festive energy that’s hard to beat. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind summer night out with friends or family, Aqua Glow at Adventure Island is unforgettable. We’ll definitely be making this a yearly tradition!
