What are people saying (AI review summary)? Countryside Country Club receives mixed reviews, with strong praise for its golf facilities and event hosting capabilities, but significant criticism regarding its general management and membership services. The golf course is consistently lauded for its well-maintained conditions, challenging 27-hole layout (Pine, Bayhead, Magnolia), and excellent driving range. As an event venue, it is highly recommended, described as a 'gorgeous' and 'beautiful' setting with attentive, flexible staff (including the head chef and managers) who go above and beyond to accommodate specific needs, such as religious dietary restrictions and staffing preferences, for events like weddings, galas, and charity tournaments. The property is also noted for its ongoing clubhouse and restaurant renovations, which are expected to further enhance the club's appeal. Conversely, one review harshly criticizes the general management and membership experience, citing issues with an unresponsive General Manager, poor customer service, incorrect billing, limited operating hours, and difficulty in connecting with younger members.

We visited Countryside Country Club for my daughter’s tournament with the Tampa Junior Golf Tour, and it was a great overall experience. The course conditions were solid, and you can tell they take pride in keeping it well maintained. What makes Countryside unique and fun is their 27-hole layout—three distinct 9-hole courses (Pine, Bayhead, and Magnolia) that can be played in different combinations. Each set has its own character and challenge. Pine is tight and demands precision off the tee, Bayhead offers a little more room to breathe but has tricky bunkers and water in play, and Magnolia feels a bit more open but has undulating greens that require focus. All three offer a strong test for junior golfers and adults alike. The driving range was in great shape, and there was plenty of room for warm-ups. The short game area had just been aerated and punched, but it was already bouncing back nicely—should be in excellent shape again soon. While the clubhouse and restaurant were under construction during our visit, it looks like they’re investing in some impressive upgrades. I imagine once complete, it’ll really elevate the overall club experience. Overall, a beautiful property with a challenging layout, a welcoming staff, and a great atmosphere for junior golf. Looking forward to coming back when the renovations are complete!
I cannot express how happy I am with the staff and venue to make my wedding ceremony and henna party turn out perfect! The head chef Jeff was so flexible and accommodating, using halal meat because of our religious restrictions. All our guests said the food was so delicious. They also made sure to staff only women for my henna party so that us Muslim women were able to enjoy and feel comfortable without having to cover. The venue itself was beautiful and the employees did a great job with setting up and cleaning. Sasha the manager was extremely helpful and did a great job making all our wishes come true. Everyone went above and beyond, highly recommend for any event!
A GEM! I have lived around this area for a long time and never knew this hidden gem was back behind all those lush trees. This venue is gorgeous from the second you pull up to the front door. There is a valet to park your vehicle but also plenty of parking near by to walk if needed. I loved the natural rocks and wood beams throughout the country club hall. The venue was very large with windows from floor to ceiling over looking the golf course. It makes for a great view and photo opportunities all over the venue. There is a nice patio that wraps around the venue hall and also the restrooms are beautifully kept. Highly recommend this for a luxury style event or party. We provided our Photobooth services to a Gala that was hosted at this country club, all the staff was wonderful and attentive. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well maintained course with a gorgeous reception hall and well stocked pro shop. I was able to have a new grip put on my putter the day of our charity tournament. The club hosted our group very well and provided everything we needed. The beer card made it's rounds rapidly and ensured we were always stocked with beverage. Our charity tournament was able to raise 76k to help fight childhood cancer as a result of this amazing venue. Thanks to everyone who helped make that happen!
This place is awful. The general manager is the absolute worst/blocks your number/doesn't answer emails or phone calls and they have literally nothing going for them. Never open, your bill will always be wrong, they customer service is absolutely awful and if you are under the age of 50 good luck meeting anyone your age. Any request takes ages to reply and they will stop answering you at the drop of a hat if it doesn't suit them. Why I joined here for multiple years is beyond me and worst decision I have made since moving to FL. Do not join here unless you live on the course. To double up, the general manager has ZERO integrity.
