Public 50-meter pool with lap lanes, a diving bay, and a wading pool, plus synchronized swimming.
The pools at Fort Lowell are typically heated. While specific daily temperatures can vary, public pools in Tucson are often maintained around 80-82°F (approximately 26-28°C), with slight adjustments possible for different pool sections or seasonal conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Fort Lowell Pool generally receives high praise for its spaciousness, lack of crowding, and amenities like high and low dives and a splash pad. Many reviewers commend the amazing, diligent, and attentive lifeguards, who are noted for providing excellent service and even diving tips. A significant number of reviews highlight the pool's exceptional cleanliness and spotless facilities, often comparing it favorably to country club pools, especially given its free access. However, there are conflicting reports regarding cleanliness, with some users describing it as dirty, showing its age (built in 1967), and having a bottom coated in sand and plant detritus. A minor design complaint notes that lap swimming is not possible while diving boards are in use. Despite some issues with age and occasional cleanliness, the overall sentiment points to a well-staffed, enjoyable, and often remarkably clean public pool.

This pool is absolutely amazing!! Tons of space so no crowding! High dive, low dive, splash pad! The lifeguards are amazing and always being diligent. So so clean and from all my years going to different city pools these summers I've never seen a more dedicated staff to keeping a pool clean! Thank you Fort Lowell staff! Keep it up!
Fort Lowell Pool is great and is surprisingly clean when I went there! I enjoyed the water which wasn't too warm or cold when I came in. Good staff and bring decent service for what it is! Only complaints is the original design of the pool. The original design doesn't allow lap swim while people go off the diving boards. But that is something that can't be controlled. Overall good big pool that's not crowded! Recommend it!
Fort Lowell pool is a remarkable testament to the diligence, hard work, and focus of the management and lifeguards. The pool sparkles, has fantastic hours that make the heat of the day more manageable, a friendly and attentive staff, and most importantly a truly spotless facility. Numerous country club pools in the city lack the cleanliness that fort Lowell (which is free) offers. I cannot recommend the pool enough.
An old facility from 1967 that definitely shows its age. I don't think I have seen such a dirty pool that wasn't abandoned. The pool bottom is coated in sand and plant detritus. There were more guards up in the stands than patrons in the pool - I think one of them should have been cleaning. But access is entirely free so. . . 3 stars.
Not alot of ppl there the lifeguards are super nice and go above and beyond they gave kids who were trying to dive tips the pool was all dirty tho
