What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park generally receives positive remarks for its cleanliness, well-maintained walking paths and trails, and clean, temperature-controlled restrooms. It features a large athletics complex with fields for various sports, and a valued outdoor skating rink, although the rink surface is noted to be showing its age and in need of maintenance. Dogs are permitted on the paths, provided owners clean up after them. However, there are significant negative experiences reported concerning the pool facilities and staff. Multiple reviews describe lifeguards as rude and entitled, with one serious incident involving a lifeguard yelling at a 3-year-old. A particularly concerning review alleges a discriminatory incident where a group was asked to leave the pool solely for wearing hijabs, leading to a strong recommendation against the facility due to prejudice. Parking can also be challenging during large tournament days at the athletics complex.
Reviews
The park is clean and has nice walking paths. Dogs allowed... as long as people pick up, which is the case. Clean bathrooms that are temperature controlled. Eventually I will go when the pool is open.
Beautiful park. Having free and open access to the outdoor rink is a tremendous resource. The rink surface is starting to show its age and needs some TLC but still highly recommend utilizing the park.
First and last time my family goes to this place. The pool facilities are great but not the staff. There are some (not all) that were very rude and entitled lifeguard. Not just to us but to many other people too. One lifeguard got on my 3 yrs old face a started yelling at him, that’s unacceptable. Do not recommend.
I had an extremely upsetting experience at this pool today. My group and I were asked to leave solely because we were wearing hijabs, which is not only disrespectful but also discriminatory. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a public space that should be welcoming to all people, regardless of their cultural or religious choices. We were fully prepared to abide by all rules and regulations, but this action felt personal and unjustified. It's 2025, and it’s disappointing that such prejudice still exists in places where everyone should feel safe and comfortable. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures that all guests are treated with dignity and respect moving forward. It’s disheartening to see a place that could be promoting inclusion instead fostering an environment of exclusion. I will not be returning and would not recommend this facility to anyone who values diversity and respect.
A huge athletics complex with fields of all sizes, mainly for soccer and field hockey. Parking can get kind of tricky on big tournament days. Most of the nets are taken off the fields or locked together during the off-season, but there’s normally a couple of soccer goals available. On top of all the fields, there is also a nice trail that makes its way around the complex and is great for walking or running. It’s a good option if you’re bored of the canal path and want to switch it up a little bit. There are restrooms on site
