Clean, older pool for toddlers and grown-ups alike, featuring friendly lifeguards.
Specific maintained temperatures for the pools at Polo Park Swimming Pool are not typically provided, as it is a seasonal outdoor facility primarily influenced by ambient weather conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are highly mixed. Positive feedback frequently mentions friendly, professional, and helpful lifeguards, the provision of life vests, and a generally uncrowded atmosphere. Some patrons found the water clean and at a perfect temperature, reporting an overall positive experience. However, a significant number of negative comments focus on cleanliness, describing the pool as "filthy," "run down," and "gross" with leaves, bugs, and hair, and noting issues with the splash pad's pH levels. The concession stand is also frequently reported as being closed. Additionally, some users felt the pool rules were excessively enforced by lifeguards, leading to a stressful experience and a lack of clear communication regarding entry requirements like pool tests or wristbands.

I lost my best friend to a drowning incident as a child, so I'm well aware of why pool rules exist. I'm glad they finally have some, because there were none at all when I came here as a kid. However, they've gotten BEYOND excessive in this city, and the way they're enforced makes the whole experience more stressful than it's worth. We weren't offered a pool test or given wrist bands upon entering. The life guards were condescending about the whole ordeal, even though it is their responsibility to make sure we're informed and have what we need. To top it all off, the whole place is filthy and run down. We left after about an hour and a half to go to a non-city pool, and we won't be back.
I gave a 2 due to the life guards being friendly. The splash pad ph has been off the last two times we went. The pool is gross. They’re Leaves, bugs, and hair floating around in it. I’m so disappointed giving the community that this pool is in. Also the concession stand hasn’t been open both times we’ve went. I do like the fact that is not really crowded, but I’m certain it’s because it is disgusting.
Daughter Love's Polo Pool. I Like the fact that they provide life vest for those who cant swim yet.
Cleanish especially for a public pool. Definitely not bad. So far it's the only public pool I've tried in Winston so if have to give them all a chance. Wish they had concessions but you can bring a small snack and drink with you. Just be sure to throw your stuff away or they'll revoke that too. As they should. Overall not a bad place. Wasn't crowded at all.
I absolutely loved my experience at the pool. The many lifeguards made my day. They answered all my enquiries and were professional as well as cordial. Plan on going a few times a week. The water was perfect temperature and clean. Not many people there today, and the guards say it's not usually too bizzy. Thank you for a real nice experience.
