Public swimming pool with a playground, picnic areas, and sprinklers.
Information regarding specific, controlled pool temperatures for Lansing Park Swimming Pool is not publicly available. As a seasonal outdoor municipal pool, its water temperature typically fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and is not usually heated.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool generally receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, size, and amenities like diving boards, sprinklers, and an adjacent playground, making it a good spot for families and kids. Non-residents can access it for a $5 fee, while it's free for residents. However, several significant issues were raised: the website is frequently outdated, causing visitors to waste time and gas traveling to a closed pool. There are concerns about lifeguard supervision, particularly regarding children jumping in shallow areas. Additionally, bathroom facilities need improvement, with specific complaints about faulty stall locks and hard-to-use sinks, and changing facilities could also be enhanced. The pool is noted to not be suitable for lap swimming as it lacks lanes.

Pool water is pretty and they seem to keep it clean even though there's stuff on the ground floor. The lifeguards seem like local teens in my opinion. They don't stop the kids from jumping into the pool. Even though that is the same as diving.they could still injure themselves doing that in the shallow area. The bathroom next to the pool had horrible locks on the stalls. I literally had to hold the door shut because someone couldn't figure out how to place the hoop an inch down for it to lock. The sinks were hard to turn on. I had to try all of them just to find one that worked.
The website claims that this pool is open but it is not. A friend and I drove all the way there to find the pool green and locked up. We were approached by another family who asked us about the pool so we are definitely not the only ones who wasted time and gas just to find that it’s closed. Please update your website!
Great public pool. They let non residents come for a fee, which is great. They have diving boards which the kids think is fun. No food allowed but you can. Go outside to eat. Great playground and picnic tables. Facilities for changing could be improved. Overall great place to beat the heat!
It is a nice place for kids to play I like how it is bigger than other pools in the area and kids don’t have to be in one place they can be in more than one place and I like how they have sprinklers for the little and older ones to go in and I like how you don’t have to pay cause some pools you have to pay 5 to get in
Beautiful clean pool for Cohoes residents (nonresidents must pay $5). Lots of lifeguards and swimmers are all ages. Not for exercise (no lanes or anything). Park with fun jungle gym is adjacent.
