What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed but predominantly critical view, primarily focusing on recent pool schedule changes. Many members express significant disappointment with the new pool schedule, describing it as 'bad to worse' and 'disappointing.' Key complaints include a drastic reduction in pool availability (e.g., from 7 days to 3, with inconvenient hours like Friday afternoons) and its disproportionate negative impact on seniors (who prefer early hours), disabled individuals (who note better handicap access at other facilities), and those who swim before work. Reviewers question the rationale behind these changes, particularly closing the pool during peak times or hot weather, and perceive that the pool is being deprioritized compared to other programs. Specific issues with the men's locker room (e.g., limited showers, pooling water, no hair dryers) and concerns about overcrowding and disregarded rules due to increased membership are also raised. Some members threaten to cancel their memberships if suitable pool times are not restored. Conversely, one review highly praises the Y branch as one of the best, commending its exceptional cleanliness, organization, friendly staff, and 'wonderful' swimming pool. Separately, the summer camp program receives glowing feedback, highlighting a child's enjoyment of regular pool access, field trips, and the dedicated counselors, emphasizing a sense of safety and care.

Your pool hours went from bad to worse. That's great that you added Friday, but who is swimming between the hours of 3 to 7 on a Friday? You have missed the mark for your seniors that prefer early hours, your disabled that can't always do days in a row (Sunday and Monday), and your workers that swim before going to work. Also, when holidays fall on a Monday we are losing that day too. Then, there's a 4 day wait from Wednesday to Sunday, because again, who can swim on Friday between 3 to 7? Please, I'm begging you to do better for your swimmers. If you're going to give us Friday back, please make it morning hours. Also, please don't tell me to go to other facilities. Slate belt is the cleanest and they have the zero gravity ramp.
I'm still trying to adjust to the new pool schedule and been trying to find a time that will work out for me if I can't get in the pool I'm cancelling my membership ,How's being closed when it's 90° better serve the community?Easy for the them To say that you can drive 60 miles to the next pool if this pool is closed sounds insane when there's one right here! Nice new pool, same pool schedule as Nazareth, only difference is that Tuesday and Thursday it opens at 6am closes at 12:30 PM. Nazareth openes at5am .-12:30pm.closed Friday and Saturday both pools.I was going 3 times a week now I can only go 2 days a week with the new schedule.it was better before they joined river crossing. the notice that was posted said that they are modifying the pool hours to better serve our community, how is closing the pool Friday and Saturday better serving the community? I always get e mails about all the programs that they have to offer us members, it seems they have money for that but not for the pool,go figure. People don't feel like driving all around Pennsylvania, looking for a pool that's open, when there's one right in the neighborhood, that sounds crazy. hopefully in the fall schedule at least one pool will open on Friday,it was nice when it was open before the new schedule went into effect.it might be closed when it's 90° . I can't see why, even with the pool closed it still needs to be maintained so why can't the members swim.i really feel for the disabled women that can't use it anymore.and I didn't like the men's locker room and shower, it is split into two rooms for the lockers and only 3 shower stalls with curtains and I noticed that the water was pooling and I was in a puddle when All 3 showers are being used, no hair dryers,in the winter might be a problem going out with a wet head.the locker room felt a little clostrophobic. And a little far away from where the y personal, and I don't know if they monitor it.i wish elevations health club was still open,in Scott run on 611. Had a great pool, I hope some one opens it some day because this is a nightmare to the swimmers.
Really disappointed in the new pool schedule. I pay a full membership just to use the pool, so when you go from 7 days to 3 that really limits it. I can't do weekends all the time, so that only gives me 2 days, and as a person with a disability, my pain doesn't run on a schedule. Your Easton pool isn't very handicap friendly. Slate belt has a very nice ramp that is perfect for someone that cannot do stairs. Also, with the extra members coming in from other pools the rules have gone out the window. Swimmers that swim in the lap section are pouring into the scheduled PWW area. I've already had to leave after only being there for 15 minutes because the lap swimmers decided to take over both sides. Just doesn't seem fair. I'm going to mimic the person below my post, I don't see any cuts to any other programs, just the pool. You are forgetting about the people with disabilities and the elderly that can only use the pool. Just doesn't seem to be fair.
This Y branch stands out as one of the best in the area. The facility is exceptionally clean and well-organized, with a friendly and attentive staff. Notably, they have a wonderful swimming pool. My experience attending the Enes Freedom basketball clinic was truly great.
My 6 year old child attended Summer Camp this Summer 2022. Today was the last day 8/26/22. The thing my daughter enjoyed the most was the pool. She got to regularly swim 3x’s a week. She attended 2 field trips, and had ice cream truck treats weekly. The counselors are truly the backbone of this program. I know my child had her share of write ups and had consequences because she broke rules. That part I hate. I wish she was good always… but she must pay if she wants to play kinda thing. This camp was nothing short of amazing! I signed up for before & after care because camp starts at 9 am the same-time my workday starts. All of my child’s needs were met. Everyday she attended I felt confident that she was safe and cared for. I am definitely signing up for next year and hope my youngest child will also be able to attend!
