About

Rhodes Jordan Aquatic Center, located at 100 E Crogan St, Lawrenceville, GA, is a family-friendly leisure aquatic facility. It features a large leisure pool, a lazy river, a thrilling slide tower with two slides, a current channel, and an interactive water play structure with a zero-depth entry area. Designed for recreational swimming and family fun, it serves as a popular summer destination in Gwinnett County.

Specific pool temperatures for the Rhodes Jordan Aquatic Center are not readily published or available. As a leisure aquatic facility, the pools are generally maintained at a comfortable recreational temperature suitable for families and general public use during its operational season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This aquatic center is generally viewed as a fun and affordable option for families in Gwinnett, offering attractions for both smaller and older children, with plenty of parking and wheelchair accessibility. Safety checks are conducted regularly, and snacks/drinks are reportedly allowed by some visitors. However, several significant issues detract from the experience. The center is frequently described as extremely crowded, especially in the afternoons, leading to a shortage of tables, chairs, and shaded seating under umbrellas. There's a strong demand for more of these amenities, along with lockers for personal belongings. Cleanliness is a notable concern, with complaints about unsanitary conditions, bad-smelling bathrooms, and even hairs and bees in the pool. Strict entry policies, such as requiring a swimsuit even for those not intending to swim, have led to denied entry and disappointment. Other criticisms include a potentially malfunctioning card reader (suggesting bringing cash), uncomfortable slides, and a general lack of areas for tanning or relaxing. The high crowd levels also raise concerns about needing hyper-vigilance for children's safety.

Spent 3 hours at the aquatic center today and had a blast! The kids had fun and so did the adults that came along! Only cons is limited seating spaces under the umbrellas, no lockers for your personal belongings, and need more umbrellas to sit under. The life guards blow their whistle every 45 mins for everyone under 18 to get out the water for 15mins so it would be nice to have a place to sit. The umbrellas are so large but with seating for only 6-8 when it should be doubled the seating.

This is one of the best in Gwinnett. It fits smaller children well and has one larger slide for older kids. It can be extremely crowded and they do need more tables and chairs. Make sure to bring cash to pay because the card reader doesn't always work. I like they do a safety check every hour for 15 mins.

It’s really great the county has these kinds of places to cool down, and for a reasonable price. The four of us were $20 to get in including a toddler. You pay a few more bucks if you’re not a Gwinnett resident. Plenty of parking, and wheelchair accessible. Highly recommend coming early because it gets crowded real fast after 2, and also to get yourself a table. They could use more tables. You’re allowed to bring snacks/drinks. The only thing that was not good was their bathroom. It smelled really bad. On the positive I saved a little kid from drowning 😐. Make sure you’re hyper vigilant about your kids because it’s hard to see anyone under water with all the splashing and screaming and such. Water was cool and felt good. The slides hurt a bit, felt every bump, but that’s just my experience.

The place was too crowded, unsanitary and stunk like sweat. There is hairs and bees in the pool and you can’t even bring outside food or beverages and its literally so strict, they literally asked me if i was wearing a “swimsuit” when i was wearing thin shorts. I dont understand all the good reviews and the worst part is that there is no place to tan or chill or to swim around.

My children are 7,8,& 11. We were denied entry because I didn’t have on a bathing suit. I didn’t have intentions on getting in the water so I didn’t deem it necessary. The disappointed looks on my kids faces after being so excited to go really was heartbreaking.
