What are people saying (AI review summary)? Windermere generally receives positive feedback for its overall experience, with many praising the challenging course layout, which includes multiple tee boxes, distinct rough, numerous hazards, and fast greens. The staff, pro shop, and clubhouse facilities are consistently highlighted as friendly, accommodating, and offering good food and drinks. However, one long-term member expressed significant disappointment with specific course conditions, citing extensive poa annua on some greens and poorly maintained bunkers, feeling that the high monthly fees and guest costs were not justified by these current deficiencies.

This was my first time playing Windermere however, it won't be my last. There are multiple tee boxes for all skill levels. The rough is distinguished. There aren't many OB but lots of hazards. Plenty of dogleg holes (MOSTLY right). The greens were RIGHTEOUS and rolled at least a 10 😮
I recently joined here and could not be happier with my decision. I've played golf for 20+ years, and the layout of the course alone makes it one of my favorite courses I've ever played, if not my very favorite. The pro shop and staff have all been amazingly accommodating and friendly. It is such a blessing to have this place as my new home course. Everything about the place has exceeded my expectations!
We were at the club for the Forsyth County Ladies League luncheon, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff is always friendly.
We love it here. The course is always kept up, the club house is nice, food/drinks are good, and the staff is amazing.
I’ve been a Cannongate, then ClubCorp now Invited member for many years, first at Bentwater and now at Windermere/Olde Atlanta since 2020. This review is specific to Windermere. The greens, fairways and tee boxes are generally in good shape, though currently there is significant poa annua in some of the greens including the practice green. I would certainly not ask a guest of mine to pay the $95+ greens and cart fee at this time. Windermere is not the only place I play, but it’s the only place I see poa annua to this extent. Each day I have a tee time I get a “course conditions” email that morning and it always includes a reminder to rake the bunkers, as it well should. But, I would remind them that the bunkers are poorly maintained by the staff. Too much sand in some places, too little sand in others. The practice bunker is like hitting off of hardpan in some places. The $600+ fee I pay monthly, plus cart fees and food brings my monthly total to more than $1000 most months. I expect better for that amount and I’m disappointed.
