Center offering fitness facilities such as a gym and outdoor pool, a summer camp and classes.
The Dell JCC features both indoor and outdoor pools that are heated. The Indoor Pool is consistently maintained at a comfortable 82-84°F, suitable for various aquatic activities. The Outdoor Pool, which is seasonal (typically Memorial Day to Labor Day), is also heated, generally kept around 80-82°F, though temperatures may vary slightly with external weather conditions. There is also an unheated splash pad for children.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The JCC is widely praised as a top-tier community facility in Austin, with many members calling it their 'happy place.' Reviewers consistently highlight the high quality of the gym, the friendly and inclusive staff, excellent tennis programs, and a wide array of amenities including pools, saunas, and art shows, catering to all ages. The grand opening was described as gorgeous and well-executed, seen as a significant blessing by the Jewish community to the entire city. However, some members express frustration over overcrowding, making fitness classes difficult to access. There are also specific complaints about Pickleball open play times primarily catering to daytime availability, leaving out those with 8-5 jobs, and a lack of responsiveness to suggestions for improvement.

The grand opening celebration of the Dell Jewish community center was absolutely gorgeous. It's stunning it's beautiful it's very well put together all the people who've been working on this over the years all the money that was raised was done so well put in the right places congratulations to a wonderful community and a wonderful community center I'm sure it's gonna empower and help many people today and in the future. Congratulations to Jolie Amber Estes my eldest daughter and Knucklehead #2, a resident artist and designer who works for Shalom Austin and designed so much of the work that you see there today. I love you kiddo.
The JCC is the best community facility in Austin in my opinion. The gym is top of the line, the staff is friendly, talented and inclusive, the tennis program is amazing!!! I can't say enough great things about it. It is one of my happy places in Austin.
I'm coming up on my 2-year anniversary and have had great experiences with everything I've made use of -- weight room, cardio area, group classes, pool, sauna, and even art shows. Since this is a community gym that caters to both men and women from ages 13-103, I've never felt out of place in my exercise routine.
Great community, but they have accepted way too many members and the fitness classes are hard- if not impossible -to get into. The open play times for Pickleball are ridiculous, because they only mostly cater to people who are retired or can go during the day; during the week. Not very considerate of people who have 8 to 5 jobs. It’s very stressful. The suggestion has been brought up several times, I’ve been going there for 3+ months now, and still nothing has been done about it. Seems like a waste of money sometimes.
What an absolute blessing by the Jewish community of Austin to share their facilities and services with the entire city. From the kids camps to the facilities, they're all world class. Thanks y'all!
