Love the pool but it’s often covered in leaves. Lifeguards just sit around instead of skimming them out. Nice & shaded. Needs a clock!

My favorite of the free city pools in this area! Later in the day both the big pool and the 1ft kiddie pool are quite shaded which is awesome.

I grew up coming to this pool during the summer as it was the neighborhood swimming pool and it still holds up well to this day. The surrounding trees give off nice shade during certain times and there’s also an 11ft area for more experienced swimmers. Definitely my favorite free swimming pool in the city.

What I like the most about this pool is that a portion of it is always in the shade because of the foliage surrounding the pool. However, this also means more leaves and bugs in the pool too. If you do make plans to come to this pool make sure to come ready to swim because there aren't any adequate changing rooms.

The pool was closed all summer and people were forced to cool off in the nearby creek. This is not the fault of Austin or even Austin Parks and Rec. This is the president's fault. The Senate's fault. Governor Abbott's fault. None of them were capable of effective leadership under pandemic conditions and so it falls to the city to close everything down indefinitely. When local government is forced to handle every crisis, this is what happens. It is pointless to blame the mayor or council for this. Vote Biden.
