Community pool with a diving board and separate kiddie pool, plus ample lawn space.
Information regarding the specific heated temperature of Garrison Municipal Pool is generally not available, as it is primarily an unheated outdoor pool that relies on natural warming from the sun. Therefore, its temperature fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and is typically cool to refreshing during Austin's hot summer months.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool is highly regarded by long-time patrons, with many appreciating its family-friendly atmosphere, excellent amenities like lap lanes (including a 50m pool), a diving board, a shallow end, a separate kiddie pool, and ample lifeguards. Reviewers consistently praise the clean water, available shade, and the allowance of outside food/drinks with cleanup. While there is an entrance fee, many find it justified by the pool's cleanliness and offerings. However, a major recurring complaint is the absence of a working phone line, which prevents visitors from checking for unexpected closures (like those due to chlorine issues), leading to frustration and wasted trips.

I've been going to this pool for about 30 years off snd on, and I love it. I really like how there are lanes for those who want to swim laps.
Great pool, super family friendly with a great shallow end and kiddie pool 1.5ft high
I’ve been coming here since the 90’s and now I bring my kids. They have a diving board, swim laps, ropes off shallow end, a deep end, a separate kiddie pool and lots of life guards. The water is always clean and there is plenty of shade. You can bring food and drinks as long as you clean it up. It does cost $$ to enter but worth the cleanliness!
Nice pool. 1st time swimming a 50m pool.
They don’t have a phone line so it’s impossible to know the pool is closed, like it is today due to chlorine issues. The city needs to pay to install a phone. Especially since this is a fee for use pool. This is a convenience and a basic safety issue. A call to the parks service directed me to a disconnected phone line which had it been working could’ve saved me the hassle of driving down.
