It is generally described as a well-appointed complex, often highlighting amenities typical of contemporary apartment living, such as a fitness center, clubhouse, and green spaces, catering to a comfortable lifestyle in the Pflugerville area.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for Lakewood Apartments are largely negative, with many residents describing it as their 'worst' rental experience and strongly advising against living there. Key issues include extremely shady and frequent vehicle towing practices, even for legally parked and registered cars, which is perceived as a 'money-making scheme' by management. Safety is a major concern, with reports of car break-ins in the parking lot and a persistently broken security gate. Maintenance is heavily criticized for unresponsiveness, particularly regarding a severe lack of hot water (as little as 7 minutes daily) and broken gym equipment. Pest infestations, specifically roaches, and general cleanliness issues are also recurring complaints. Management is consistently described as rude, unhelpful, unresponsive, and unprofessional. Other grievances include unexpected fees, high utility charges upon moving out, and high noise levels. In contrast, one review stands out as overwhelmingly positive, praising well-kept facilities, a 24-hour gym, a resort-style pool, free Starbucks coffee, multiple dog parks, and quick staff responsiveness. However, the overall consensus from the majority of reviews points to significant dissatisfaction across multiple critical areas of apartment living.

Worst place I lived in throughout my whole life”renting” timeline 13 month lease 1 bedroom paid $1287 per month rent. *Car got broken in while parked inside the parking lot of complex, 6,000 worth of damages. No video or witnesses, so had to pay that myself. *Vehicle Gate of complex is constantly broken / always open. *Had only 7 minutes of hot water per day. Asked maintenance several times to fix the water heater and no luck. *Random fees and charges to your account. Be aware when you move out, you’ll be spending an extra $200+, I.e. every time you use their online pay system, there’s a $1.95 charge to each transaction. *Left in February 1/2 through the month and somehow the utility charges are 8x as much as the month before (see photo) *Random broken cars throughout the parking lot and full on body kit swaps done in the parking lot on weekends, looks like an auto shop with all the grease and random car parts. *Paid $100 a month for a garage just so my vehicle wouldn’t get stolen again. *Security at the pool during summer. No fun police. *gym equipment needs attention. Cables are broken. Overall not a safe area. Keep your doors locked and get a garage.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The biggest issue with Lakewood Apartments is their shady towing practices. Even if your vehicle is registered and parked legally, it can still get towed. They misleadingly tell residents that cars only need to be registered after 6 PM, but in reality, vehicles are towed well before that. It’s clear this is just a money-making scheme, and the management refuses to take any responsibility. When approached, they are rude and unhelpful, brushing off concerns like it’s your fault. It’s incredibly frustrating and stressful, especially when you’re doing everything right. Combine that with roaches in the units, poor hot water supply, and completely unresponsive management – it’s just not worth it. Don’t fall for the trap. Stay far away from Lakewood Apartments.

I have live here for 3 months now and I love it. The facilities are well kept and the staff always handles things quickly. I would have to say the best part of living here is the amenities. They have a 24 hour gym with lots of equipment. In the clubhouse their is a Starbucks coffee machine that is free to use during office hours. The pool is a gorgeous resort style pool that’s large enough for everyone to feel like they have their own space. They have 3 dog parks on site. I have nothing but praise for Lakewood Apartments I would highly recommend living here!

I have had a disappointing experience at Lakewood Apartments. Maintenance requests are often delayed, and communication from management is lacking. The property has issues with cleanliness and pest control, which have not been adequately addressed despite multiple complaints. Additionally, the noise levels are consistently high, making it difficult to relax at home. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving the living conditions for current and future residents. To make things worse, vehicles are getting towed frequently, even when parked correctly, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience to residents. It feels like management is more interested in penalties than actually supporting tenants…I genuinely hope they start taking these problems seriously, because right now, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone…

Horrible Experience – Not Recommended Staying here has been one of the worst rental experiences. First off, they tow vehicles even when they’re properly registered. They falsely claim cars must be registered after 6 PM, but towing happens before that, and management refuses to take any accountability. They’re rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. On top of that, there’s a serious roach problem in the units, and despite multiple complaints, nothing is done. Hot water is unreliable and runs out quickly, making basic living uncomfortable. Between the towing scams, pest infestation, poor maintenance, and horrible management, this place is a nightmare. Save yourself the stress – stay away from Lakewood Apartments.
