Just what me and the kiddos needed to cool off on a hot Friday. Ample parking, lots of seating once inside, spacious. Your best bet is to arrive for 3:30pm onward (we saw a lot summer camps leaving at 3pm). Saw a lot of reviews mentioning the water temp but it was fine for us. Bring cash or a physical credit/debit card for ease of payment (I couldn’t use tap and pay via my phone’s e-wallet)
It’s a rush to get here early to guarantee a spot to sit, reservations are recommended. Half the equipment wasn’t working and was slightly pointless. The only saving grace was the entry price. The neighborhood pool would suffice for what is offered unless you’re just coming to get on the one slide available. This place has been here for awhile and it’s need of a dire remodel. Maybe misting fans but definitely an expansion with another side and a full repaint. The bathrooms need attention.
The worst experience ever. We are here celebrating a1 year oldest birthday. They have a stupid rule that you can bring any food you want including pizzas, chips, 24 pack of water, anything you want. However, you can't bring cupcakes, cakes or anything considered as birthday party material unless you buy a birthday package. So if we wanted to have a birthday party here and celebrate with pizza we could, just no cupcakes. This is the dumbest thing I ever heard. The concession stand isn't even open. So we're not taking any money from their pockets. Furthermore, half of the parking lot is empty, yet they said they were at full capacity. This place and management is a joke. They don't even have an adult here as a manager. I had to try and reason with a teenager. I'll never come here again.
Its a great place to take children. Like 6 and under. Basically anyone 4 feet andnunder. Compared to the other PG county splash parks this one has the largest section for babies. The water goes knee deep on a 5'5" person and is warmer than the big kid pool (only goes to 3'5")
I drove 30 minutes on a hot day looking forward to relaxing at this outdoor pool, only to be turned away at the gate because it was "at capacity." While I understand safety limits, the way the situation was handled was incredibly frustrating. As I explained to the young lady at the window that I had driven quite a distance, over 20 people were visibly exiting the facility—likely because the pool was closing soon. Yet I was still not allowed in. Instead, I was told the pool would reopen at 3:30 or I could try an indoor pool another 10 minutes away. Seriously? After already making a long drive, being told to drive more felt dismissive and inconsiderate. I also mentioned that a thunderstorm was approaching, meaning there was a high chance the pool would be closed again shortly after reopening. I was told the pool closes every 45 minutes during storms and no refunds would be issued—even though I never got to enter the pool in the first place. Every concern I raised was met with a cold, unhelpful response. No empathy, no solutions, just "that's the policy." This is poor customer service at its core. At the very least, they should consider selling tickets online or updating capacity status in real-time, so people don’t waste their time, gas, and energy making the trip just to be turned away. Disappointing experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning.
