What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews are mixed, with several patrons expressing significant frustrations alongside some positive feedback. Common complaints include the lack of enforcement for gym etiquette (e.g., people occupying equipment while on phones), and the frequent unavailability of basketball courts due to non-basketball classes or bookings by non-members, which users feel alienates young men. One reviewer reported rude harassment from staff regarding powerlifting. Positive aspects highlighted are friendly and great staff (though contradicted by the powerlifting complaint), a good variety of equipment, and clean facilities, with some wishing for 24-hour access or racquetball courts. The main takeaway is a desire for better rule enforcement and more consistent access to facilities for intended purposes and member use.

Can’t use the gym equipment because half of them sit on their phones on the equipment. Staff is tired of hearing about it.Why have rules if they aren’t enforced.? They say tell the front desk. To do that I would have to take a picture of the people sitting and I don’t need the hassle. I don’t have time for this. I just called JCC and they have staff that monitor their gym. Unfortunately too many people are disrespectful and without any consequences they either don’t care or just enjoy the drama. I go to the gym to release stress, not add to it.
I wish they used the basketball courts for basketball during prime hours instead of shutting it down for 4 ladies to dance. Can we please at least TRY to cater to YOUNG MEN. It's in the name. Feels like every Sunday they have a class booking the gym that doesn't need to be in there while 15 young men have to leave because that's the only reason they are there. Then, I hear about vandalism in the neighborhood. Maybe if we wouldn't take away their outlet. This is the entire purpose of the organization. At least leave the gym open on weekends.
Rudely harassed by staff when doing any type of powerlifting, and was told “this is not a powerlifting gym.” Even if you are really trying your best not to be loud, doesn’t matter, you’ll be yelled at very rudely. Also the basketball gym is consistently booked out with events from people that don’t even have a membership, so it’s impossible to get a session in. Don’t train here…
Great staff, good variety of equipment. I wish it was 24 access available to the weight room, but I understand that is a massive liability.
This YMCA has everything you need to keep yourself in shape. Friendly staff, clean facilities, a wide range of equipment and activities are available. Wish they had racquetball courts but outside of that I am very satisfied with my membership..
