It has a lap pool, “lazy river” that goes pretty fast, a whirlpool connected to the lazy river, a mini obstacle course type thing (walking across “logs”), a splash pad, and a pretty big slide! The only downsides are it’s very loud, there were a ton of people, and they had to shut down the main part while we were there to sanitize. But we will be back!
For $16 the area should be open to both kids and adults during swim lessons. Expecially when there is a whole bunch of teenagers allowed in. This experience was absolutely terrible due to the overly strict lifeguards that take there jobs way to seriously about a 2 year old swimming in the kids area!
First time visiting and will not be returning. First, I was shocked that you have to live in Macomb Township rather than County to get the resident rate, but that was ultimately my misunderstanding. My son and I came in to swim - he is 7 and 4 feet tall exactly. We went down the slide numerous times with different lifeguards, but then one lifeguard stopped him saying he was all of a sudden too short and made us walk down and told us we could not return. Then, my son scraped his leg on the side wall tiles, so I quick propped him up on the edge for him to get off the wall because the current was continuing to push him into the sharp edges. A guard yelled at me saying I had to put him back into the water! Then, my son wanted to try the logs but was nervous about the depth of the water. I got in to spot him, and the guard told me only he could be in the water. I understand safety protocols, but it felt like we were just constantly being yelled at. Do not recommend bringing young children, it was very discouraging for the both of us.
My son (autistic) 💙 and I have been coming here for a short time. It has been a pleasure to use these facilities. The gym is well-equipped 🏋🏻♂️and the pool is great🏊♀️. The staff is helpful. I've read comments that they are rude, but in reality, ✅they are putting things in order to ensure a safe environment and that everyone can enjoy the facilities equally. As long as everyone is responsible, having a good time is possible✌🏼. I highly recommend it.👍🏼
Working with the Parks Rec Team for the Music in the Park Event at Macomb Corners Park was fantastic! They are a class act!
