Country club with an 18-hole golf course, dining, tennis courts, a pro shop, and walking trails.
While The Hasentree Club features multiple swimming pools, including resort-style options, specific temperature details for its pools are not publicly available without direct inquiry to the club. It is common for such luxury clubs to heat their pools for member comfort during operational seasons.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed view of the establishment. Positives highlight a vibrant community atmosphere with numerous events and activities for families, a well-regarded golf course and staff for hosting events, and some staff members being described as wonderful, respectful, and hospitable. Residents appreciate the feeling of being on vacation and the convenience of amenities like the pool area. However, there are significant criticisms, particularly regarding a decline in management, service, and facility maintenance over the past four years. Specific complaints include unsanitary conditions at the pool (e.g., filth, broken features), poor restaurant service characterized by dirty silverware, ignored allergy instructions, and unresponsive waiters. There are also concerns about food safety due to the lack of health inspections for private clubs and a complete absence of dietary accommodations for common allergies or intolerances, coupled with a strict no-outside-food policy. Additionally, some reviewers feel prices have skyrocketed, amenities are overcrowded due to increasing membership, and young families are being nickel-and-dimed.

Silverware was dirty, we barely saw our waiter, and he ignored my allergy instructions. Brought me food with allergen in it despite being given instructions and was impossible to locate for the following 15 minutes to switch the plate. Service was unaccomodating and made for a bad dining experience.
LOVE living here! My husband and I always comment about how it's some sort of life hack - we get out of work and immediately feel like we're on vacation - especially in the summertime. The kids love the pool and splashpad, and with two kids under 5, it's awesome that there's an opportunity to purchase food and drinks at the pool as well. No need to remember anything other than swimsuits, towels, and suscreen. The neighborhood has a ton of events throughout the year - fall fest with a hayride, food truck rodeo with bounce houses and balloon animals, etc. There's a really active kids program, and we often utilize that for date nights or to go play tennis at the courts. We don't have the golf membership, but we often go grab dinner at the clubhouse with a view of the course!
Two stars—for the neighbors, not the management. We moved here 4 years ago when kids' nights were affordable, the pool wasn’t a science experiment, and food poisoning was more of a rumor than a rite of passage. Since then, prices have skyrocketed, service has deteriorated, and filth has become a permanent pool feature. The pool? A time capsule from the 2000s—now with bonus band-aids, stray hairs, and a lovely skin film you can take home. The clock’s broken, the tiles are crumbling, and the water feels... sentient. A post-swim shower is no longer optional. Food service? Questionable at best—but hey, no need to worry! Thanks to NC statutes, private clubs aren’t required to pass health inspections. So that’s... reassuring. Just don’t try to bring your own food to avoid a stomach bug—they’ll kindly suggest you eat it in the trunk of your car. Seriously. Even if you have food intolerances or allergies. And no, they don’t offer options for those of us who are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, or nut-free. So if you’re sensitive to anything beyond disappointment, best to skip eating altogether while you slowly roast in the sun. They keep adding members, crowding amenities, and nickel-and-diming young families while offering less and less. We stay for one reason: our neighbors are amazing... and interest rates are still terrifying.
We hosted a charity golf tournament here for the second year. The course snd staff never disappoint. This is always a fantastic event due to the efforts of the entire staff. We appreciate the hospitality and effort of everyone here. The feedback from the participants is always very high snd they always look forward to playing.
Although I am not a member I perform jazz at Hasentree Country Club often. They treat me and my sidemen with much respect and it much appreciated. The staff is wonderful!
