Reviews
We’ve had a family membership at City Lake Aquatic Center for the past three years, and it has consistently been nothing short of excellent. The facility is clean, well-run, and offers something for everyone in the family. I’ve noticed some recent reviews mentioning the pool being closed for the day due to thunder. In our experience, when closures (for the rest of the day) happen, it’s usually later in the day around 5:00 PM. By policy, the pool must close for 30 minutes after each instance of thunder, and the sign out front clearly states there are no rain checks after 4:00 PM. This seems reasonable and is clearly communicated both in person and over the announcements, which always let guests know when the pool will reopen. The lifeguards are kind, attentive, and take their jobs seriously. They take a break on the 50th minute of each hour, and it’s exactly 10 minutes long. We’ve seen them respond quickly and professionally in multiple situations this season — they’re always on alert and doing a great job keeping everyone safe. City Lake Aquatic Center has a great variety of swim areas: a lap pool with both shallow and deep ends, three large water slides, a kiddie area with a whirlpool and water playground, plus a splash pad. There’s also a concessions stand that accepts cash, cards, and Apple Pay, clean bathrooms, and lockers available. Life jackets are available for free use, which is a huge plus for families with younger kids. There are shaded picnic tables, though they do fill up quickly. We usually bring an umbrella and make our own shade — it works great. Weekdays are typically less crowded, making it a perfect time to visit if you’re looking for a quieter experience. Overall, City Lake Aquatic Center continues to be one of our favorite summer spots. We look forward to coming back year after year! Hope this helps anyone who has questions or has read any negative reviews!
My 4 year old granddaughter and I had an amazing time at high point city lake pool!! High point residents are $10 for the day and Non-residents are $15. They have a 2 feet area for the little ones that has slides as well for them, There is a lazy river 3 feet deep not too big you can float on, and I seen some much bigger slides for the older kids including a separate swimming pool which is deeper for the advanced swimmers. They do have plenty of lifeguards which all we’re doing an amazing job keeping up with all the little children. They have nice tables with plenty of shade provided!
My first time and I love it!! It's beautiful ❤️ great for taking pictures. The lake is beautiful. I highly recommend it 👍🏽👍🏽
Nice little water park. $15 for non residents which was worth it for us. They have 3 water slides, a lazy River, kid’s area, huge splash pad and giant pool with lap lanes at night. You can bring in outside food but concession stand is decent and cheap. They take cards as well. Bathrooms were clean. They had many lifeguards. I do wish they had more seating and not just tables.
We had so much fun on our play date at the Aquatic Center that the kids did not want to leave. It's very spacious, the maximum number of people is 1,000. There is a 6-foot pool, splash pad, water play area, water slides, lazy river, and whirlpool. You pay $10 if you are a resident of High Point, and for a group of 20, it's $7. The only thing I did not like was the food, bring your own snacks.
