What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Northwest Park pool is largely praised as an affordable, family-friendly attraction, typically costing $1 per person (often free for children under 10). Positive aspects frequently cited include varying pool depths (ranging from 1-3ft shallow areas to 6-7ft deep ends), multiple slides (some ideal for younger children), ample covered seating, lounge chairs, and generally clean bathrooms. The pool is part of a larger recreational complex, offering a highly-rated, handicap-accessible playground, walking trails, basketball and soccer courts, and picnic areas. Reviewers also noted friendly staff, a handicap chair lift for the pool, and its popularity for private rentals. However, some negative experiences include the pool becoming very crowded, leading to concerns about cleanliness and lack of seating. There have also been comments regarding lifeguard attentiveness and specific rules, such as the prohibition of full-face masks, which can cause discomfort for some. Admission is cash-only, and hourly lifeguard breaks are observed.

Great him pool for the family! Waterside is nice but only for under 12. The deep end is like 7 feet. The kids lived swimming here. Very nice canopies to keep the sun off with a him by if the ocean breeze. The also have loin lounge chairs. Lifeguard break once an hour so bring snacks! La port resident $1 a person
This was our first and last time visiting this pool. It was dirty, no where to sit and pool was very busy with tiny kids. You can imagine the pee in that pool. The “what you call” teenager life guards were busy visiting with each other talking and not watching the kids. We asked about a full mask that covers the eyes and nose and we were told no, my granddaughter was upset at that, and told me she didn’t feel safe. We stayed 30 minutes.
This is our favorite pool in La porte area. They have clean bathrooms, covered seating & tables, 2 slides, a shallow 1ft-3ft area tied off. And a deeper area up to 6ft deep. They aren't free but only cost $1 per person (10 and under free) They only take Cash though! I'm definitely renting this pool out next year for my kids bday. Just remember this pool is popular and you need to save your date WAY in advance. There is also walking trails around the pool, basketball court & a really nice playground park.
Very nice pool there is a swallow end with slides and the other side is 6 feet. Staff was friendly and nice! Me and my kiddos enjoyed this pool admission was $1 per person.
06-29-2022 Visit: Today was our first visit to Northwest Park. The playground is VERY nice and fully handicap accessible! The area is partially shaded by trees. There is a well layed out pool with water slide/ and handicap chair lift, basketball court, walking trail, soccer field, bleachers on what looked to be a baseball area, restrooms by the pool, and benches and picnic tables throughout.
