What are people saying (AI review summary)? This aquatic facility is generally well-regarded for swim and dive meets, certifications, and local league events, including water polo. Reviewers appreciate its cleanliness, temperature-controlled indoor pool, and ample space, along with well-maintained bleachers and bathrooms. The facility has a long history, noted to be over 40 years old, and once featured unique elements like an underwater observation window and distinct high dive structures. While it's considered good for smaller events and offers a large outdoor grass area for parents, some feedback indicates the building itself appears old and dated, and it may not be ideal for larger events or in the most appealing neighborhood.

A fantastic facility for Swim and Dive meets! I received my Red Cross Lifeguard Certification there for Sweetwater Pools. Plenty of space, clean and temperature controlled water.
I haven't swum at this place in many years but it's been around for over 40 years, that I am sure. I really love the pool and it could be fun looking underwater especially at the deep end. They even had an observation window on the side of the pool and I remember we had to walk down the stairs to the basement to be able to see through the window to look at people swimming underwater (some even swum down to the window to wave at us). I remember it was 13 feet at the deep end and I think I recall that it once had a concrete platform high dive structure in the middle, and it was higher than the regular high diving boards. It was a lot of fun diving off those boards back in those days, but I don't think this "getting old" body could do it very well anymore. There is also an outdoor public pool down the road on Hammerly (to the west towards Beltway 8 West Loop) and it once had a 2-platform high dive structure there but they tore it down years ago.
I’m always thankful for an indoor pool with the crazy weather we can have. The bleachers are nice and have been clean the two times we have attended a swim meet at this location. They keep a tidy facility and have clean bathrooms, making it easier for the kiddos who are running in and out in suits between events. All and all a nice spot in my opinion 👍
Good enough venue for small swim meets, but definitely not the right venue for larger sized events. Building itself is a bit old & dated in a not so friendly looking neighborhood. But the large grass area outside provides enough room for parents to set up shades or tents during a swim meet.
How many districts would love to have this for their highschools. The Duncan YMCA and Spring Branch swimming summer league swim here sometimes. It has the Diving and Swimming side where water polo is also practiced and games played.
