Clean, indoor pool (as deep as 11 ft) for lessons and lap swimming, plus scuba diving.
The facility maintains specific temperatures for its pools: the leisure pool is typically kept at 88°F, and the lap pool at 82°F.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Williams Pool is widely praised for its pristine water, convenience, and suitability for lap swimming, often described as a hidden gem with affordable access ($5-10). While appreciated for its excellent water quality and ease of securing a lane, facilities are noted as basic and in need of renovation. A significant and recurring concern, however, is the long-serving manager, Ken. Despite his capability in maintaining the pool, Ken is consistently reported to have a severe temper and a confrontational demeanor. Incidents include inconsistent rule enforcement, prematurely turning off lights, shortening swim times, and aggressive interactions with patrons, such as throwing a customer's bag, issuing threats, and calling the police. His aggressive behavior has also extended to parking lot confrontations. This conduct has caused considerable frustration among long-term patrons, with some intending to escalate their concerns to the board.

Ken, the manager for over 35 years, loses his temper and takes his frustrations out on his customers. Unfortunately this flaw masks his excellent work and ability to keep the pool in pristine condition. I have been swimming at this pool for 33 years. It's well kept, convenient and I can always get a lane. However, Ken says that I can no longer swim there because I can't follow the rules. It all started when I was leaving the building at 7:42 and he turned the lights off, which caused me to have to feel my way out of the building. The pool closes at 7:45, but he gets mad anytime someone is there after 7:40. After that day, he had it out for me and began telling me that I was swimming over the 1 hour limit. I have a workout that I can do in 1 hour and I track my time by the laps I swim. I told him that he could help me by putting a sign by the pool with the time he wanted me out, which he did. He was accurate for the 1st 2 weeks, but then began to shorten my time by 2 minutes, then 3 minutes then 4 minutes. I didn't say anything about it because I didn't want to set him off. However, tonight the locker room was not accessible at the time on his sign and I swam an extra lap to allow the lady to finish cleaning the locker room. Although I had another 4 minutes to make an hour, he throws my bag in the water and tells me I can't swim there anymore. I try to discuss this with him and he threatens to call the police. I ask him when the board meets so that I can bring this up with the board and he calls the police. It's unfortunate that such a capable pool manager has his temperament. Everyone, as well as myself, has put up with this issue for years. I love Williams Pool and I wish Ken didn't feel the way he does about me. However, I am the customer and Ken works for me. I will be bringing my situation up to the board. I hope the board will give Ken the proper guidance to control his temper and be nice to his paying customers.
Great pool for travelers looking to lap swim. $10 gets you an hour. Water is great temp. May be cool if you are used to warmer pools but perfect for lap swimming. Not too much chemicals. Facilities are basic but easy to get a lane just about any time.
On June 4th, at around 655PM, I was driving home (sterling knoll subdivision) and had an unexpected emotional phone call with one of my clients that was going through a every emotional time. Decided to park on the farthest spot possible away from everyone else, closest to the park and away from the center. An older white male in a muscle shirt (Ken Kiefer) came out and threatened to take pictures of me and my vehicle (which he can, because I was out in public) and report me to law enforcement. He cited "recent parking lot issues" for their high level of alarm. I was too concentrated helping my client and decided to just leave the property. I felt discriminated. And as a former police officer, I wish I had the time to educate the elderly man Ken Kiefer on what's public property, what is funded by my HOA and what is private property, in addition to what is illegal versus what is perfectly legal. It's 2025, let's all be considerate of others and treat them as you would like to be treated.
Hidden gem in the clear lake/ webster area. I had no idea this place was here and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the pool. The place is a bit beat up and could use a renovation but otherwise it is a great place.
I needed a covered pool for my daughter to get a workout and my local pool was closed bcz of a swim meet. It was only 5 dollars for the swim. Great deal!
