What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for this water park are sharply divided. Positive experiences praise its affordability as a cost-effective alternative to pricier parks, making it suitable for families with young children. These guests often highlight the availability of free life vests, attentive lifeguards, and enjoyable slides. Some also noted clean facilities, good water quality, and improved staff service for events. However, a significant number of negative reviews describe a "disgusting" and "dangerous" environment. Recurring complaints include unsanitary conditions like dirty, over-chlorinated water, visible trash, dirty diapers, and even glass bottles in pool areas. Many reviewers reported rude front desk staff, unhelpful lifeguards failing to address bullying, and various operational issues such as broken furniture, unmade or stained hotel rooms, and prolonged waits for elevators or locker assistance. There is also criticism directed at management for allegedly threatening customers over negative feedback. Overall, visitor experiences range from a highly recommended, clean, and fun family day out to a severely criticized, unhygienic, and poorly managed venue.

This use to be a nice place when they opened. I was shocked at what it's become. The water was dirty and gross. A cloudy film with enough chlorine to singe your eyes on arrival. I should be able to see the bottom of a 3 foot pool! My family itched the whole way home. Dangerous, I watched several kids get bullied and hit and pushed and the life guards did nothing! You can expect a good amount of attitude too if you try to point out they are not keeping kids safe. Dirty, I know this is a large place but not one time did I see some one Picking up trash, food and filth and liquor bottles, yes glass bottles! littered the corners of the pool. I feel like everywhere we sat was Broken furniture and I'm not a large person. Don't try to get away from all the kids fighting, they're in the adult areas too and plenty of smokers for you in the non smoking areas. We lasted an hour before my kids where tired of getting hit and my husband and I had enough. Of course we couldn't leave right away because the locker we purchased would not let our stuff out. We had another 45 min wait for them to figure out who could unlock it, everyone we asked for help said someone else and so on. I'm only giving this 1 star because the manager was nice and apologetic and we got a refund. Can't say that for the girls at the front desk and Ya no towels either. As I write this Several hours after our visit and after a good shower I'm still itching, gross! A comment about some other reviews, I've seen the replies that management has left on other bad review threatening to charge them for false claims. I'm sure they don't go out of their way to make a review to help themselves. No one has a vendetta to ruin the business. It's gross! It's dangerous, Fix it. Your obviously not taking these reviews seriously or we would not have experienced the same problems several people had mentioned before. Way to make a bad situation worse with threats to your patrons.
This was perfect for us. We came on a vacation to Kansas City intending to spend a day at Great Wolf. Day tickets were TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for our family. With a 3 & 6 year old you never know if they’ll want to leave after 30 minutes! We passed this place on the way into town and I decided to look it up. Reviews were sketchy but cost was only $40 for our whole family on a Thursday. I decided to try it. So glad I did. Water wasn’t cold or over chlorinated, wasn’t crowded at all. It was very nice & clean. Everyone had fun. For $40 we didn’t have to feel guilty for not staying 12 hours. Will definitely come back here & recommend.
This was our second birthday party at Coco Key. Our last party was 6 months ago but while the kids enjoyed the party, the service at that party was a bit chaotic. However, I want to report that this party was a very good, much improved, experience. The staff was top notch; handled everything perfectly. I really appreciated their attentiveness to the kids. For us, the location has always had a wonderful facility, but am pleased to say that their service now matches their facility. Terrific!
This place was Absolutely disgusting i will never be coming back here again. Dirty diapers in the pool area. front desk people are rude. the Indoor pool was full with kids and moms drinking, although it says If your under the influence of drugs or alcohol to be not be in the pool. the elevator took 20+ minutes to get on the floor you were staying in. very unsatisfied. when I walked into my room one of the beds wasn’t even made, I complained and she brought me a comforter with a big red stain on it. How disgusting. I will be emailing the GM.
Definitely a blast! Especially with smaller kids. They rent (good quality) life-vests at no cost and the lifeguards are very well trained and attentive. My only dislike was that it was hard to get to 2 of the slides- you have to climb/walk over a rope type bridge and it's a physical feat. The slides were a blast in that total darkness! Pretty intense for a small water park. We will absolutely come back.
