What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool complex is highly regarded as an outstanding and favorite destination in the KC metro area, praised for its extensive facilities. Reviewers highlight its multiple pools, including dedicated adults-only sections (lap and float pools), kid-friendly areas, waterslides, and diving boards, all featuring impressively clear water. It's noted for being well-run, maintained, and managed, offering an excellent experience for both families and adults seeking dedicated swim spaces. A unique feature is the dog swim day after the season closes. However, common criticisms include significant overcrowding, especially on holidays and busy weekends, which can make swimming difficult and finding lounge chairs challenging. Some parts of the complex, like slides and diving board pools, have been observed closed late in the season due to staffing shortages. Other minor complaints mention confusing parking and a disappointing snack bar. Despite these issues, many reviewers express strong overall satisfaction and value their season passes.

Outstanding outdoor pool complex with 6 different pools. Well run, maintained and managed. Open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. The meters pool is an excellent place to swim laps! Thank you to the pool managers and lifeguards for another excellent summer experience! On the Tuesday after the pool closes, the dogs get a chance to swim.
My new favorite spot. I'm from the east coast, when it heats up, I head out to the beach. This is the closest I've found in Kansas. There are 3 big pools here plus waterslides and diving boards. Whats the most wonderful about this pool is the fact that Adults have their own section. No kids jumping on you, swimming into you or just ruining your pool day. Kids have their own section and they love it. Adults have an Olympic size lap pool with 2 lanes dedicated for walking. Plus there is a float pool that you can bring an inflatable and float away your day. Plenty of lounge chairs and space. 10/10 spot.
I love the PV pool and I have been coming to this pool for many years and seen all kinds of changes over the years but today was disappointing because I spend a ton of money to be a member and then when it’s 4th of July it’s so crowded and over capacity that you can’t even swim in the pool without getting breathed on or sneezed on. And I was lucky to get a lounge chair but it was only because I knew today would be the day to get in and still couldn’t even enjoy the experience as I have many days prior. Do something about this holiday so us members can enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you PV! Otherwise, I still love the pool!
Great pool! Excellent place for the family! 8/18 Update: I've noticed that the slide and diving board pools have been closed this week and last on the days that I've visited. I suspect this is largely due to the student staff returning to school. Still well worth the season pass.
the water itself is so pretty and impressively clear... it was so busy last Sunday afternoon could not find a spot with a chair... but alas, even better there is a grassy hill that is partially sunny / shaded and my daughter and I loved the picnic flavor of our adventure. 2 pools for the kids (kids and then adult/kids) and two adult only pools (one for lounging one for exercise) there is still adults swim hourly to keep the kiddos from getting overexhausted. Fun diving boards and there are 2 or 3 water slides (I personally didn't get a chance to enjoy the slides - but they looked fun). My only gripe is I have no clue where the proper parking lot is located... I had to walk past a lot of cop cars to get to the entrance and I don't know about you - but it is always not that fun to walk past a bunch of cops that might need to meet some ticket quota to maintain budget or somethin'.... especially joco po po.... but still, the PB pool is my favorite in greater kc metro,it was when I was 12 and it maintains that designation at 37. The snack bar is essentially the same as it was when I was 12... for the worse... but that's not really that important
