What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews cover two UNLV aquatic facilities: the Student Recreation and Wellness Center pool and Buchanan Natatorium. The Student Recreation pool is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern facilities, friendly staff, and pleasant environment for swimming workouts; visitors are advised to use the Tropicana Garage drop-off and have a $10 fee and ID ready. Buchanan Natatorium is described as an excellent pool for competitions, featuring a separate diving well with 1m and 3m springboards, and offering good views of the Strip. Recent improvements include a fixed sound system and a men's room remodel. The diving club and coaches are noted for their hospitality. However, Buchanan Natatorium has limited quality seating for large audiences, and there's conflicting information regarding the presence of diving boards, with some reports from the help desk contradicting visual evidence and other reviews.

As a community member visiting UNLV - I swam in the pool at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. It is a great facility but separate from Buchanan Natatorium. When taking an UBER note that there are various drop off points on campus. For the Sudent Rec center and swimming pool, use the Tropicana Garage drop off site. You are then just in front of the Student Rec Center. Take $10 for the fees and a picture id. Then you can register. The facility is very clean, modern and has a great vibe, the staff is friendly and the pool/locker room was very clean and plesant. I had a great swimming workout.
Update on 1/19/24: New/fixed sound system helps hear the races and the men's room got a small remodel (new sink countertops so the sinks are not falling off the wall). Great pool for competitions. But difficult for large audiences. Not a lot of quality seats for viewing.
Goofed up my order. We were sent to wait in mobile parking. person first forgot my 3rd meal before finally bringing the wrong one. They seemed very disorganized.
The diving club allowed us to join them for practice before a masters diving meet. The team and coaches were very hospitable. There are 2 3m. springboards and 2 1m. springboards in a separate diving well. I love the windows: you can see a nice view of the strip!
Called, pics of diving boards outdated or their help desk is incorrect. I double confirmed I was calling about the right place and they said they didn’t have diving boards despite it being in the Google maps picture and reviews
