The aquatic center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from both swimmers and spectators, frequently described as an "incredible complex" and the "best pool by far." Highlights include abundant seating (with capacity for 200-300 people), multiple pools (a 4-lane warmup and an 8-lane primary pool), comfortable and cool temperatures, a bright and non-stuffy atmosphere, and being a "fast" pool for swimmers. Many praise its cleanliness and excellent maintenance. However, one review noted a specific negative experience where the pool was "incredibly dirty" with hair and band-aids, and suggested the locker rooms needed deep cleaning.

I come here on occasion to swim meets. From a person just spectating it's great. Positives: Lots of seating Warmup pool with 4 short lanes and a primary pool with 8 lanes Cool 😎 for a pool area. In February it's not humid and awful but a bit warm and comfortable, being at a few of these meets this is a big positive.
Best pool by far for both swimmers and spectators. Daughter loves swimming at the UofM pool. It’s a fast pool, bright and not stuffy. Plenty of seating.
Incredible complex. Stands can hold roughly 200-300 people. Pools are clean, large and well taken care of.
Remember swimming in this pool at Southview back before y2k. Thank God the machines didn't kill everyone because the revamp on this place is incredible. ART DOWNEY is the most amazing swim coach ever and I am honored to have had him as mine. My kids now swim in this aquatics center for meets and it's amazing.
Went there for a synchronized swimming meet, and the pool was incredibly dirty. There was hair and band-aid's covering the bottom of the pool. Also, the locker room could use a deep cleaning.
